Sunday 16th March 2014, we visited Chinatown, Manchester and we picked The Little Yang Sing Restaurant and we were very disappointed.
The food we had was average, however, the service was very good almost like they were trying to make up for the disappointing food

I went here with an old friend from university and the food was good - although not exceptional. The dim sum was good, the scallop was lovely and the other mains we had were also very nice. The service was a little his and miss but didn't affect our visit. If you want some nice Chinese food in pretty normal environment then this is for you. If you're looking for authentic Chinese food - then perhaps try somewhere else.

I have had many meals in the Little Yang Sing. Both at lunch time and in the evening.

The food is never less than average, although rarely better than good.

Prices are slightly above average for Chinatown and at lunch time it is easy to get a better value meal.

It is a good choice if you don't want to risk a bad meal or service - hence why I have chosen it so many times as I often entertain friends or business associates here.

A reliable, if slightly more expensive than average, choice.

My family and I have just been here for the two course set meal.

We all had the Dim Sum to start which was just enough to start our meal and we all enjoyed it.

The mains looked and tasted delicious we had the duck chow mein, chicken with garlic and mild curry sauce and king prawn and vegetables. We were all full and content by the end of the meal.

The only down side was the 10% service charge added to our bill, I do feel it should be our choice what tip we give if we choose to give one. As it wasn't compulsory we paid what we felt happy with.

All in all a pleasant meal and we would return.
