Very convenient location opposite Piccadilly Rail station. On arrival you’re always greeted with a warm cookie and a smile: staff always appear attentive and helpful. As a Gold Hhonors member, a free gift (fruits, chocolates, wine and mineral water)
is always awaiting me in my room with a personalised hand written note. As a regular they get you to fill out a form with your preferences and actually act on it - this is the kind of service and attention to detail that I appreciate.

Rooms aren’t huge but are super clean and modern with just about everything you need, with a reliable Wifi that is both fast and free. There’s a decent spread at breakfast but certain hot foods (all eggs except scrambled) need to be ordered which can cause a wait during busy periods. The restaurant serves a great value set dinner which is off high quality, but portions are small so take advantage of the free bread.

If you’re looking for luxury and to be pampered this place is not for you, so you’d be better off at the Lowry, Midland or Radisson. But I’ve been staying here on and off for the past four months and for some reason it’s still my preferred hotel in Manchester, will certainly be back.

Room Tip: Request a high room facing towards the back of the hotel, away from Picadilly.

My sister and I visited this restaurant yesterday to celebrate her birthday. Everything about this visit was perfect; superb food, lovely champagne and more importantly great surroundings and the staff just couldnt do enough for us - thank you for making us feel so welcome

Got to Manchester very early that morning, checked in at 8 - the hotel was full the night before and they were able to clean a room and let me in at 9 am! Every time I walked in and out of the hotel the front desk staff would greet me by name - as they had seen me hang out in the lounge! The hotel is extremely well situated across from Piccadilly train station and steps from all of Manchester's attractions, business, shopping and entertainment districts.
The hotel has an extremely sleek modern design and vibe.
I had an upgraded room for an additional 15 Pounds and it is was state of the art with Apple TV. Although very functional and welcoming, the room was a tad small and I was wondering what the difference was with the standard room. Everything else in the hotel, service, staff, amenities were excellent.

Stayed here at end of June on a two night break. Location is great - literally a one minute walk over the footbridge in front of Piccadilly Station. Hotel is bright, ultra modern and very welcoming. Rooms are well equipped and surprisingly quiet at night, considering the busy area the hotel sits in. Full marks for free wi-if and the stylish iMac. Lots of nice touches - from the quietly closing doors to the light in e wardrobe. Everything you need really. Very friendly staff. Slight cock-up withy he bill on departure but was resolved. Great breakfast and value? Yes - we git a twin room on room only basis for two nights for £158 in total. Great hotel for less than £40 each per night. Strongly recommend.

This may not be the highest star rated or the best appointed hotel but it is very modern and clean with great features. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The cookie is a nice touch (after staying at a few Doubletrees in the states years ago, and this being my hotel of choice in Manchester from being called City Inn to Mint I was quite exited that they were rebranding as Doubletree)
