The Hotel is perfectly situated 2-3 minutes from Piccadilly Station. And around the corner of all main shopping areas and Canal-street for those who like to party. The Hotel is tidy and clean. Cozy and the staff very very welcoming and professional. We got a standard room on the fifth floor. Big enough to stay in and a nice bathroom with a good size shower. THe bathrobes where a little worn out already and could need a replacement. And a XL was rather on the tiny edge ( im a good medium here ) Free fast Wifi a big plus too. Breakfast buffet basic with ready to order choice and continental buffet.
All over a big compliment to the staff that made us really feel welcome and dint hesitate to comply to our wishes several time without hesitation ....All over a really fantastic stay without any hassles.

Room Tip: Get a high room on the Canal street side !

Stayed with a friend end of April, Easy to find - very close to the Manchester Piccadilly station. Still known locally as "Mint Hotel" from the previous owners.

Check in was efficient and friendly, and the cookie was a nice touch on arrival. Free MAC workstation in the room with free internet is great.

Room was adequate in size, bed was comfortable - bathroom a ltitle small and sparse in terms of products.

Breakfast in City Cafe was nice and fresh cooked.

Overall a good choice in City centre hotels- would stay again for sure.

Room Tip: Away from lifts

This hotel has excellent location as it is just opposite Manchester Piccadilly station. However there are some areas of concern about it. I had issues with the bathroom as had to call in to get basic toiletries which ideally should have been there beforehand. Mini bar was half empty and was filled next day.

Biggest problem was the huge advertisement billboard opposite room which kept on running advertisements 24 hours. Ideally curtains should have stopped the light from it however in this particular room there was around 1 mm space left which curtains didn't cover and because of that there was light throughout the night. It was fully booked hence there were no other rooms to move.

I loved the staff as they were really nice, prompt and friendly. Good hotel but still areas of improvement

Room Tip: try and get room on the other end of advertisment board.

I shared a room with a friend here in May for a hen party, the hotel is easy to find from Manchester Picadilly train station. Check in was straight forward and the room was spotless, and the bed were really comfy. I actually managed to sleep well even though we were in the heart of Manchester so the glass must be well sound proofed.

We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that but we did share a bottle of wine in the hotel bar before going to bed. For a city centre hotel the price of a house bottle of wine was a little steep in my opinon (jsut over £15) but the bar itself was lovely and the staff were really helpful.

The bathroom was well stocked with goodies and the towels were lovely and fluffy so it was perfect for what we were doing that weekend.

My only negative comment would be that the maid came round wayyyy to early knocking on doors (9.30am on a Sunday) I know the rooms need to be cleaned, but I thought this was a little early and we could hear her working her way down the corridor.
