I was eagerly anticipating this tour for several months, and had heard many great things. The visit did not dissapoint in any regard.
I would concur with the other assessments of the cafe prices; however this is invariably the case with these cafes. They did allow you to patronise the cafe, without making a purchase - which I found to be extremely affable.
The tour consisted of an introductory video (which was somewhat blighted by the background noise of the previous tour guide, talking to his group), a visit of backstage, the green room, production areas and the main set. It takes approximately an hour, with no restriction at the end, to take your photos on the street.
I would implore anyone with the opportunity, to visit this attraction, and get a behind the scenes look at an icon of the British cultural landscape. My visit was enhanced, in no small part, by Natalie our tour guide: who demonstrated an abundance of charm, acerbic wit and knowledge.
Can't praise this highly enough. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon had by all!More
