We stayed with you in October. The room was perfect , bed comfortable, staff amazingly helpful. House keeping were very accommodating issuing extra towels etc on request without any fuss and very friendly xx bar staff were very friendly and waiting staff for breakfast were attentive although hotel was very busy. Cannot fault any aspect of the hotel etc getting use to a corded kettle was quite amusing, esp after a few relaxing beverages in the hotel lounge. Overall an excellent hotel and I would happily return.

My wife and I stayed for the night in November for a show at the Phones 4 U Arena and were treated to an upgraded room due to having problems on our last stay.

The package was very good- room was spacious, luxurious and had everything we needed. We had evening meal, breakfast, films, music and wifi included in the rate and could not fault any of it. The room had a king size bed, coffee machine, robes, slippers, chocolates and tea and coffee making facilities.

The food was outstanding and the view from the restaurant is stunning. Steak cooked to perfection.

Staff were great- both check in and restaurant. Very polite and helpful.

I know I got an excellent deal due to a previous problem and I'm not sure how much that package would usually cost but I'm grateful that the manager addressed the problem and went way above my expectation to ensure we had a great stay this time around. I just wish we could have stayed another night!!

Stayed at this hotel from the 27th to 30th Dec 2013. We travelled as a family with the wife and I in a double and my son in a twin room, both rooms were very small and space was limited for clothing to be unpacked, these rooms were more appropriate for single business users staying over for one night and not for couples staying for a few days. Our bathroom was showing signs that it needed an upgrade and even though we put our dirty towels on the floor they were put back on the towel rails to be used again by the housekeeping staff. We stayed on the sixth floor and the noise from some other rooms was horrendous and the road noise could be heard even though the windows looked double glazed. The hotel is very well located and I would probably stay there again for the £53 a night we payed. (I wouldn't pay more than that)

This hotel is a really nice place to stay, not overly expensive and the staff are tremendous and really friendly and welcoming especially on reception. The food was a bit lacking at breakfast time, but evening meal was great. would definitely stay again

One night stay for New Years Eve, booked a 14th floor suite -allocated the Piccadilly Suite on arrival. Check in fast and efficient with the option for late check out at only £10 an hour after 12 o'clock which is a decent deal.
Suite was large with big very comfortable bed with adjoining lounge and dining table.
Bathroom a good size with excellent shower and some nice toiletries. Large bathrobes and slippers. Complimentary films with the deal.
All very clean.
Downsides. Even on the 14th floor the tram horns and traffic were still very audible and the window glazing is poor with a LOT of interior condensation. The conversation of next doors occupants could be clearly heard, must be very thin walls.
Nespresso machine in lounge was available as advertised but there were no coffee canisters, we would have expected them to be available otherwise we would have brought our own.
Didnt use any of the other facilities on offer at the Mercure but overall was a decent stay.
Staff all very courteous and efficient.
Location is great.

Room Tip: Piccadilly suite is large and comfortable but still suffers from noise
