We stayed here just for the one night. Arrived and were greeted at reception by very friendly helpful staff. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean with a great view of Piccadilly. We didn't stay for breakfast but I'm sure it would have been good, going on the standard of the hotel. Very good value for money indeed as situated right in the middle of Piccadilly a great location for all shops, bars etc...
There was ample towels, tea coffee hairdryer and a safe.
12 oclock check out which was great as we are late risers.

Only stayed for one night on a quick visit to Manchester.

My wife were looking for a hotel in a central locations with good access to shops, bars and restaurants. This hotel fits the bill.

Check in was excellent and we were allocated a room on the 12th floor overlooking Picadilly Gardens. Room was spacious and nicely decorated and clean. Had the usually soaps, shampoo etc plus tea and coffee. Good views. Negative TV did not work but we were not in room long enough for this to be a problem. Also heating system was poor ( room 1219). Otherwise all good.

We did not eat in the hotel but we did have a drink in the bar. Service excellent and reasonable prices.

Would stay here again.

Room Tip: High floor facing gardens

Stayed here on business for one night only had a double room on 12th floor at front of hotel, my colleague had a room across the corridor which was significantly larger so I would recommend asking for a room at the rear as you also don't get the road noise. Not that I spent much time in the room but everything you would need was there and very clean and in good working order. I liked the trouser press but the hairdryer could have been a bit more powerful. The secondary glazing on the windows didn't really keep the traffic noise out but it was no more than you'd expect from a city centre hotel and it didn't keep me awake, although it fogged up in between the panes so you can't see out of the window even if you wanted to. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful without being obsequious. The breakfast was really good and varied, continental, cooked english, porridge, cereals, fruit and yoghurts etc - couldn't fault it.

Room Tip: ask for rooms at rear which were larger and quieter

Excellent rooms. Great service.

Room key would not work on two occasions, housekeeper was very polite/attentive and let me into the room on both occasions as she had seen me exit earlier each day.

Functional/easy to use air conditioning, iron/trouser press & plenty of tea/coffee in the room. Clean bathroom & powerful shower.

Nice view from the 8th floor. Excellent central location!

Polite/helpful reception staff when checking in and out!

Only 2 slightly negative points:

Breakfast:
I cannot eat foods which wheat or gluten. Therefore, it was not worth paying £9.50 to have breakfast. I would have possibly paid it for gluten free cereals or half price for small continental option & tea/coffee/fruit juice.

Variable pricing:
I wanted to return to the hotel 19th - 22nd but on one of the nights the same room was £145!

Definitely returning to this hotel next week, prices currently £56/£60.

Dear Guest

Many thanks for posting your review following your stay with us. I was delighted to hear that you had a great stay.

As with any Hotel group, rate strategies are put in place and the rates quoted will reflect how busy the hotel is, or indeed the demand for bedrooms in the City on a particular date. As such, rates can therefore fluctuate on a daly basis based on supply and demand.

I was pleased to hear however that you will definitely be returning to us and that you have been able to secure a more attractive rate. With this in mind, we look forward to seeing you soon.

Kind regards
David Daly

Booked here for a 2 night stay! Had a great time in Manchester, the hotel being in a perfect location for the city centre shopping and city experience. It was easy to find for a pedestrian from the train station.

Bed was comfy and room was cool, loving the aircon!

I had no hassles booking into this hotel other than reception staff being slightly slow. The hotel is in a great location. It overlooks Piccadilly Gardens. Parking is £15 for overnight stay. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Piccadilly railway station or directly opposite the Piccadilly Gardens metrolink (tram) stop. The hotel is a very imposing building overlooking the main square of Piccadilly Gardens. The hotel room was modern and looked like it had been recently refurbished. I would agree that there was quite a bit of noise from other guests. The breakfast was fine and plenty of choice either from the buffet or ordered from the menu. I would recommend that you shop around for prices though as this made a huge difference to the price. I would recommend this hotel.
