Manchester Deansgate Hilton might be a 5 star hotel with 5 star service, but that´s of no significance at all when the Manchester Central / G-mex establishment outside the hotel is hosting extremely noice rockconcerts two days in a row. The noice is incredible, the windows in the rook is vibrating and it´s impossible to stay in the rook even with earplugs. Hotel staff says there´s nothing they can do. Never Hilto again !!!!

Dear Guest

Thank you for taking the time to write and provide your feedback.

I empathise completely that you had a poor night’s sleep due to noise disturbance from outside the hotel. I would like to assure you we have been open for 5 years and have never received complaints about noise from Manchester Central before.

Whilst directly this is out of our control; I have now set up a meeting with my colleagues at Manchester Central to discuss your points.

I do hope that you consider returning to the hotel when you next visit Manchester.

Best wishes
Bernadette Gilligan

I hadn't expected to stay in this hotel - my night at the Hilton was thanks to the Midland Hotel (QHotel) double-booking my room.
The Hilton is a very smart hotel, clean lines, and marble. The room was comfortable, again uncluttered, but with everything you would expect from a hotel of this rating. Not much in the way of character, but a good business hotel. Given that most rooms are above floor 7 - not much external noise to disturb your sleep!
The bar/ lounge area is large, but again rather 'bare' of any unique character.
Breakfast was good, choice of cold or hot food, and efficient service. I didn't sample the restaurant in the evening, so can't comment on this.

Only gripe - you have pay a charge for hotel internet (fixed wire system).

Summary - a good place to stay in central Manchester when on business.

I have stayed at the Hilton twice this year and each time I’ve been impressed. The rooms are a really good size and the bathrooms are generous and clean.
When we stayed in October my colleague had a room with a TV above the spa bath for no extra expense.
A couple of things if I was being really picky – the aircon in the rooms – both times I’ve stayed I’ve walked into either an oven or an icebox! Not a massive problem, but sometimes the aircon takes a while to adjust – not great if you are rushing around trying to get ready for a meeting.
In my last room there was no mirror on the flip up dressing table which meant I did my make-up in the bathroom (full wall) mirror but might have been a pain if I’d have needed to do my hair. But like I said – these are fault if I was being picky!
One of the nicest things about the hotel is the doorman – each time we’ve stayed he’s been absolutely lovely.
The hotel is a taxi ride from Manchester Piccadilly we’ve paid anything from £5 - £8 for the fare and the hotel is very happy to call you a cab which seems to arrive instantly.
Another great thing is the bar on the 23rd floor – amazing views across the city and does a really good mojito.

Great stay, can't fault the hotel or any of its facilitues and the staff were very attentive and helpful, would stay and recommend anytime. Only small moan was the breakfast which was cold and had been out for too long and some of the items didn't appear fresh.

hava stayed here twice now and enjoyed my stay both times. its worth it just to get a windowside table in cloud 23 (the bar upstairs) on the 23rd floor with floor to ceiling glass just like the rooms have too. comfy rooms and if you get one on a highish floor definately a room with a view. prices are what to expect for a hilton(not cheap but not extortionate either).tried the restaraunt on the second visit and enjoyed it,a good varied choice even on the menu of the day. perfect location if you want to go shopping or sample the night life everything is within reasonable walking distance or handy for public transport. a few good bars nearby like the cask and the knot.

We live in Spain, and needed to stay in Manchester for a few nights in order to get a connecting flight to our holiday destination. We arrive at the hotel just before check-in and we were taken straight to our room. The reception staff were very helpful in pointing us in the direction of cash point machines and the places we had planned to visit during our stay. The room was spotless and very warm. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was a good size.Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of choice. We were seated quickly and tea and coffee appeared in seconds. We spent a few hrs of our 2nd night in Cloud 23, a big thank you to Sophie, for sorting our booking and letting us add another 6 people to our reservation 24hrs before. The staff in there were fantastic, we were offered a choice of areas to sit and then a young lady came over to introduce herself and to tell us she would be taking care of us for the evening. A few members of the group were driving, and she was happy to suggest non-alcohol drinks they may like, asking what types of flavours etc they like. Having read some reviews Cloud 23 gets a hard time, people moan about prices and staff. Yes the drinks are expensive compared to some places, but their website clearly shows their drinks and food price, so if your not happy to pay those amounts,.....DON'T BOOK IT!!!!.... Our bar bill came to about 60 quid for 8 of us, which i didn't consider too bad as we were charged over £20 for 2 vodka and tonics in the bar downstairs.
We asked the hotel to arrange a taxi for our trip back to the airport, this arrived bang on time and the check out process was very quick and uncomplicated. The Chinese restaurant in Watson St (2 mins walk from the hotel) is a must. The next time we visit Manchester, we will certainly be staying at the Hilton and paying another visit to Watson Street.

Stayed here when over with my husband for a Manchester United Match last season – It’s a very funky hotel right in the heart of downtown Manchester. Very mod and new. Great bar on the top floor looking out over the city. Glass panel in floor looking down some 20 stories – scary! Really enjoyed stay here and room service late that night and again next morning for Brekkie was memorable.
