I stayed here for a night with a couple of friends after the Muse gig - from the second we arrived we were checked in easily and were greeted by friendly staff. They couldn't be more accommodating for us with a really good value trip to the stadium, plenty of advice and good banter with the lovely Arthur. We knew this would be a fairly cheap and cheerful hotel from the price we'd paid but were really surprised by the actual quality of the room.
Thanks again guys for a wicked stay and hope we see you soon!

We were in the Hendham hostel with 9 friends from Holland. Stayed just for one day to enjoy the Tiger Tiger club in Manchester. Very kindly staff, especially Arthur. Arthur arranged really cheap taxi-prices for the ride to the airport. Nice rooms with good beds. Clean badrooms.

Really good hostel, good value for a good price. Arthur arranged 20% discount for the next stay so we come back for sure!

Had a room at the front of the house. Room was not clean, duvet was very old and tired as too was the lumpy, creaky mattress. No sheet on the bed, just a hairy mattress cover. No TV in room as advertised. There was a drunken party at the main entrance ( just below our room) until silly o'clock in the morning. Expect to be woken before 6 am with music blaring and doors constantly slamming doors for at least 2 hours. Staff did nothing to quieter things down. Do not book to stay here if you want a decent sleep!

In reflection we should have just checked out straight away when the taxi dropped us off. Upon arrival we were greeted by disorganisation with 4 staff around us (who could have been anyone as there looked to be no uniform). They then went on to ask if we wanted to pay for breakfast!!! (Bearing in mind it is a bed and BREAKFAST!!)

The rooms... Well where do I start... Bedding was disgusting, hair (and not just hair from the head) was all over it and inside... It didn't look like it has been changed, along with marks on it. The floor was sticky, there were marks all over the walls.

Bathroom - just don't go in! I am looking forward to a hot shower when I get home. It didn't look like it had been properly cleaned in years!!

Location - cant be helped where it is but I would say not recommend ed for women on their own, we walked back from Robbie Williams and didn't feel safe with gangs hanging about.

And if you want sleep you will not get that here, it was incredibly noisy!

I would not recommend and will be not going back!

We stayed here, as we were attending Robbie Williams gig at the Etihad stadium. The hotel is 1 minute from the main road/bus route into the city centre, which was really great. It was easy to find and modernly decorated. The hotel staff were extremley friendly from the moment we arrived, especially Arthur. Nothing was too much trouble, even when returning late from the gig.

The double room was a good size and located next to the bathroom, which was convienient. It was clean and comfortable.

This hotel was good value for money and we would stay again due to the great staff and great location.
