“Short stay”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

Excellent central hotel, within walking distance of the city centre, Arndale Centre, Picadilly Gardens where all the buses and trams converge.... the only downfall is parking..... there isn't any, and you have to use the local car parks, saying that, you do get discount if you get your ticket scanned in the hotel. Very quiet, we had a 3rd floor room so not too close to the ground!!!! Staff very pleasant and helpful. Will be using it again in a couple of weeks.

Thank you for taking the time to write your recent review. My team and I value all feedback as it enables us to improve our service. We all very hard at trying to ensure that each and every guest has a great stay so its always nice to get feedback.

As you say we are very centrally located for shops, bars, restaurants and tourist attractions. On your next visit feel free to ask reception for any restaurant etc recommendations as there are always new places opening up.

We are going to be very busy from now until Christmas so try and book as early as you can to enjoy the best possible rate. If you have a room preference, ie 3rd floor or to the back of the hotel simply call us and we will log that against your reservation.

We look forward to welcoming you back very soon. Please say hello when you check in, if you have the time.

Kind regards

We stayed for 2 nights. This Hotel location is a great city centre Hotel.Receptionists very helpful, room clean quite and bed was one of the best we have slept in, The breakfast was very good. The very slight downside is that the bathroom needed to be bought up to date although it was very clean.
When we go to manchester next will definitely try to book this hotel again.

Thank you for your recent response following your stay. We're so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us.

As you say we are very centrally located and ideal for all shops, restaurants, bars and tourist attractions.

The team work hard at trying to ensure that all guests have the best possible stay. I have taken your comments re the bathroom and its dated look. We are currently on the list for a refurbishment but unfortunately at the moment have no date.

We hope to welcome you back to the hotel in the near future. In order to get the best possible rate try and book as early as possible. The Xmas markets which start at the end of November are a great reason to return.

We stayed in a family room as we had tickets for the Saturday of the Ashes match. The room was large, bright and clean and at the back of the hotel so there was no noise.

The staff were welcoming and helpful on arrival.

We pre-paid for the breakfasts as children ate free. These were exactly what we needed however the Sunday was busy and at times there was no hot food on the buffet counter. Apart from that the choice was excellent and it was good quality.

We also ate in the restaurant one of the nights and found the food to be good value and nice - it is rather no-frills but you expect this.

The overall costs of the stay was excellent value as I booked well in advance. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people looking for a good value hotel in Manchester.

Thank you for taking the time to write your recent review. We hope you enjoyed the Ashes.

As you say we have a Table Table restaurant within the Hotel which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Apologies, that on occassion, the buffet items ran out. When the Hotel is full, which it was we have around 400 guests. We do sometimes have to wait a few minutes to get them replenished. I have passed our comments onto the restaurand and they are going to work hard to ensure this doesn't happen again.

In order to receive the best possible price for your room try and book as early as you can. Premier Inn rates reflects their occupancy so the busy the hotel the higher the rate.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Hotel the next time you are in Manchester.

Kind regards

As you say we're centrally located and an ideal base for all shops, bars, restuarants and tourist attractions. There is parking in the NCP opposite the Hotel and if youy hand your ticket into reception they will stamp it so you receive a discount when you come to pay.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

We traveled to Manchester to go to a concert at the Ritz. This hotel was easy walking distance from the venue and very close to the train station.

Parking was a problem however as there is no on site hotel parking, but there was an NCP no too far away. The Deansgate Premier Inn, also pretty close to the Ritz has onsite parking but it is not so close to city center.

Thank you for writing your recent review, we hope you enjoyed your concert at The Ritz.

As you say the Hotel is ideally located in the city centre and only a short walk from bars, shops, restaurants and many of the tourist attractions.

We don't unfortunately have onsite parking though we do have a discount with the NCP located under the Convention centre which is opposite the Hotel. For any guest that does park simply give your ticket to reception and they will stamp it to give the discount when you go to pay. Alternatively, as you say our Deansgate PI and also MEN PI both have on-site parking and both close to the City Centre.

We look forward to welcoming back to the Hotel in the near future.

This hotel is a very good budget hotel , clean and and tidy. Not huge rooms but a decent size.

Good amenities and the the staff were very friendly and helpful. YOu choose to include breakfast in your stay with and additional cost or you can decide on the day to have breakfast. The breakfast is pretty basic and they offer two prices. One (more expensive) for the cooked breakfast and another for continenetal and fruit. It was good to have the choice as the Premier Inn in Manchester does not.

The hotel is in a great location, we came to Manchester to see Goldfrapp at the Albert Hall and the hotel is a 2 minute walk from this venue. And the hotel is right in the center of town to close to shops and most of the main attractions. We hired a car so drove to Salford Quays but could easily take a bus or tram as they seemed pretty regular.

As we were staying in July during the heatwave it was nice to have air conditioning. The Premier inn also offers half an hour of free wifi (would be nice if it was longer or unlimited)

All up a good stay. I would definately recommend to others.

Thank you for your recent review. We're so glad your stay with us here at Manchester Central.

As you say the Hotel is ideally located in the centre of town. Ideal for all shops, bars, restaurants and tourist attractions. The tram runs in front of the Hotel and we have a stop opposite at St Peters Square.

The Hotel has an internal Table Table restaurant which is open from breakfast till late, serving food all day. Or for something lighter we also have a Costa Coffee shop.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Hotel in the near future. In order to get the best possible rates try and book as early as you can.
