Good points: Good location and quiet area; nice view from the room and per total a quite and nice area.
Bad points: One can hear other people slamming the doors at night/ early morning; the bathroom was disappointing, the sink had two taps, one for cold water one for cold water - it is annoying to see that every day; plus the bathtub was slippery and very basic. In order to turn on the shower one had to use the tabs for the bath....not very nice....

Room Tip: Ask if they have rooms with refitted bathrooms...

Thank you for your recent review, we appreciate you taking the time to write it. We recently have had our maintenance man check all of the 157 guest bedroom doors along with the corridor doors to ensure they now close instead of slamming. I'm afraid over time these adjust and have to be regulary checked. As we are a very busy hotel this is an ongoing check. Re the issue with the water, I'm sorry you encountered issues. We have had on 2 occassions in the last 6 months an issue with our boilers which caused this issue. We are currently getting these surveryed with a view to rectifying the issue. I hope this hasn't put you off and look forward to welcoming you back to the Hotel.

I only chose this hotel as got such a great deal & knew it was in a good location. Room was vey clean, bed comfy & a good shower. Basic facilities but better than expected for a budget chain. 10 min walk to Deansgate & Piccadilly so central location. Only downside was check in. Was prompted by email to do online but had to do again on a machine even though check in staff were available. All a bit confusing & staff not very helpful

Thank you for taking the time to write your recent review. We are very centrally located and ideal for business and leisure guests. Each of the 5 City Centre Hotels are central so depending what is on in the city decides the price so the best way to get the best deal is to look on our web site. Re the self check-in, Manchester was conducting a trial for a new check in facilities. Thus why you received the promt email, the idea is that all guest names are completed prior to arrival and addresses etc are checked. Then when you do arrive at the hotel the check in is much quicker as all details are correct and filled in. I'm sorry this caused you a delay and it is currently under review. Myself and my Reception Manager are concerned that you felt the staff were not very helpful so we have conducted some additional training to ensure that no other guest experiences this. We hope you come and visit us again at the Manchester Central Premier Inn.

No great problem with the hotel providing you don't get a room at the front and you want to wake up at 6am.. We had room 609 on Friday 17th May and we were woken up before 6am by the Manchester Metro which runs outside the front windows of the hotel and it then runs until midnight. When you arrieve you ar told about the promise of a good nights sleep or your money back but then when you are woken up at 6 on a Saturday morning all the staff will say when you complain about the noise is "Next time you come ask for a room at the back its quiet there"
Thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: As for one at the Back......................

Business trip to Manchester and needed a hotel for two night. Wanted to keep the budget low. Location was the most important factor for me. Premier Inn on Lower Mosley Street was next to the conference venue and withing walking distance from Deansgate train station (a 25 min train ride from the airport). The room/bathroom was basic but always clean. 30 minutes free WIFI = nice. 24h WIFI for 3 GBP is not bad either compared to other hotels. Recommended the hotel to get a safe in every room. Bed was good but outside the hotel builders where working and they started early. Better than average. Would give it a 3.5 on 5, Good.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review, myself and my team enjoy reading the feedback and the opportunity to improve everyones overall stay. We are, as you say, centrally located and ideal for both the leisure and business guest. Re requesting a safe in every room, this as a Company we don't currently do but if you require an item to be kept safe we can always keep it secure in the reception safe. Simply ask reception for details on your next visit. Re the builders there has been explority work being carried out in advance of the new tram line which is being started next year. This has now been completed. We look forward to welcoming you back top the hotel in the near future.

Thank you for taking the time to write your recent review. As you say we are located in the city centre so as such we do have external noise from trams, traffic and on occasion people. We work hard to ensure the internal noise is kept to a minimum by having regular floor walks and additional team on when the hotel is busy. I'm sorry you found your room cold, each room has its own self controlling air con. On your next visit if this isn't satisfactory for you please ask reception and we will arrange for an additional heater to be put in your room. If you have the time please email on dorene.mcdavid@whitbread.com to advise what room number you were in. This will enable me to check there isn't an issue with the window as normally the noise isn't too bad. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
