“Great Hotel Expensive Parking at NCP”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

The hotel was great, comfortable room, 30 mins free wi-fi, restaurant attached to the hotel, staff at the hotel and in the restaurant were very friendly and the service could not be faulted. Just be aware the Hotel has no parking, I stayed overnight and was on a course at the Hotel the next day and the parking cost £24.50, so very expensive.

Room Tip: I would ask for a room on the higher floors as I do with all city hotels, obvious really cities are...

We booked into this Premier Inn as we were going to a wedding round the corner in the Manchestrer Midland Hotel. The Premier Inn was perfect, close to the wedding venue, clean, quiet and very welcoming. I intend to return next year for a week-end visit to Manchester for a more relaxed trip and this hotel is so central.

Very clean and the usual premier inn refinements.

We had a family room to the rear - no noise except someone from the bar emptying the bottles outside a couple of times.

Heating system a little noisy - but there was a separate heater available in the room and in hind-site should have used that instead.

Key card entry to the corridors is a good touch for added security and preventing hotel wonderers.

This hotel is a typical Premier Inn. The room is a decent size with a large bed and is clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and this is a great central location. There are blackout curtains and the rooms are quiet despite being so central. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to stay in Manchester city centre.

I honestly find it difficult to find enough superlatives to apply to the staff at this hotel. On arrival at 10 am, having been travelling since 5.30 am in Ireland, I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to check in. There was a slight mix up - I was given a double rather than a single and as I was sharing with my daughter this was awkward! - and it was sorted without the slightest fuss. All the reception staff smiled and chatted. The room was spotless and beyond reasonable for the price. Location is perfect. The breakfast staff, both the manager and those waiting on tables, ensured a cheerful start to the day. Full marks to everybody at theis hotel!

My wife and I recently stayed here as we were visiting a friend. The hotel is a short taxi ride from Manchester Piccadilly station cost approx £5. On arrival you can either check in with a receptionist or self check in with a machine. We chose the former and it was a fast and pleasant experience. A fast lift to the 6th floor found entry to the floor was by key card only and the using the card again to enter the room. Room was spacious with tea/coffee facilities and plasma tv. Plenty wardrobe space and large comfortable bed. Bathroom was very clean and plenty of hot water available. Shower was very good, however if you mobility issues you may want to ask for a disabled room as you do ave to climb into the bath to shower. There is a bar and restaurant linked next to the hotel which is very good and also offers sky tv. Adjacent to that is a cost coffee shop. Getting to the main shops was a 5-10 minute walk which was quite pleasant. There is also night time security whereby your key cards are checked to see if they are still valid and then allows you entry. The staff at this hotel are well presented and courteous. Taxis are plentiful and there is a tram station just across the road if you want to make use of it. Black cab taxis are more expensive than other cabs in the city. But it is usually under £7 to get from the print works to the hotel.

Would recommend this for a short stay. The room was compact but had most things you would need except only 2 tea bags were provided! For a city centre hotel, it was very quiet and the blackout curtains were very effective. The breakfast was good and overall it was good value for money. Additional security with key card entry needed to get onto the room corridor was reassuring. The staff were pleasant but bar service was a little slow.
