After two nights in this place I'm walking around like a zombie. The hotel is on a VERY busy road, and from about 5 am everything in the room shook each time a lorry passed. On the second night there were drunk guests shouting and slamming doors until 4 am (about which the staff did absolutely nothing), so at least I got an hour's sleep until the lorries started.
As other guests have mentioned, the staff are all very polite and do their best - but three waiters in the restaurant stood no chance with the number of parties they had to serve. At least they apologised as soon as I was shown to a table, and explained that it would be half an hour minimum until they could take my order.
Considering that I paid £166 for two nights this hotel is terrible - for another fifteen pounds per night I could have stayed at the Manchester Deansgate Hilton. And then I would also have free internet for more than a measly 30 minutes and a room lit by more than a twenty watt bulb.
Next week - that's where I'll be.
