“Another great stay at Deansgate Locks”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

A welcome return to this Premier Inn. Great staff and as usual they did everything to make our stays as seamless as possible.

We need space under the bed for a mobile hoist and since our last stay, (where we'd arrived unannounced and they quickly built a temporary solution to accommodate us), at our suggestion they have invested in a set of "Elephant Feet" bed raisers. Excellent work!

Small glitch with the delivery of the starters at dinner, which as soon as they had realised was promptly dealt with, but these thing happen and anyway we were too delirious from lack of food to notice. :D

Great staff great stay and as every excellent parking.

I notice some comments about traffic noise. Well it is on a fairly busy interchange off of Mancunian Way so it is to be expected, but it isn't really noticeable unless you were a very picky person or light sleeper and it's a lot better than most hotels in Manchester city centre.

Great stay at a friendly hotel - very close to Deansgate, Palace theatre etc. Good on-site parking.. reception staff very friendly and knowledgable about the local area. Great value for money as booked as part of a promotion. Appreciate that the family room has a very large Queen size bed and 2 single beds for the kids -plenty of room. Maybe ask for a room on the back as it was noisy with the window open on the front. Overall, great value for money. Check out the evening offer at Albert's Shed restaurant if you want a delicious early evening supper - about 15 min walk

Very helpful, polite and smiling staff. Efficient at every corner. Breakfast good and plenty on offer. Good central location. Free shuttle bus to centre but didnt need it as centre was 10 min walk away

Really poor room - unusual for Premier Inn. The room overlooked a main A road and the traffic noise was terrible from the single glazed and poor window.....the window sill was swimming with water in the morning. The shower was awful and dangerous if staying there with children - either cold or scalding hot. Not acceptable Im afraid.

Having stayed here on 15 feb for one night - I found the location of the hotel to be idea for city centre Manchester. However I thought the bed was quite hard, and not comfortable at all.

Having been kept awake by the people in the room above, it sounded as though they were pacing up and down for hours. I complained to the receptionist on leaving- to be told that I should have complained sooner and security could have seen to it. Hmmmm anyway there was also a loud clicking sound inside the room which came and went this sounded like a rather large stapler. I mentioned this to reception too - and she came back with a very quick reply which was suspicious - she said " oh that will be the air lock" WHAT?!? Oh that's great - they know about the annoying noise that keeps you awake and nearly drives you insane.

Any way a great weekend away with friends was had but the hotel played no part in this - wont be visiting there again

Good spot if your working or visiting Manchester. Deansgate Lock Premier Inn is centrally located and as all Premier Inns is clean, comfortable and well priced. I've stayed in several places in Manchester including the media village and now only bother to stay at Deansgate Lock. You can walk into town in the evening but it's not right in the middle so noise levels are better.

Room Tip: Try not to get the rooms next to the Mancunian Way as it's noisy if you open the windows.

Good with free parking. They now have two thickness of pilows thick or thin which is a good idea. The hotel does say the parking is on a first come first served basis, but we have always got parked.
Five mins walk to town to the bars and shops. Try the Rain bar.
