“The best breakfast ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2013

Stayed here for our Anniversary, went into town for dinner. Enjoyed an amazing room (30) bedroom with a messene bathroom with twin baths, wet room with steam room, the most comfortable bed! The hotel is very stylish with a great bar-lounge. Probably the best breakfast we have experienced. We are looking forward in returning! Thank you Great John Street.

I unfortunatly only got to stay here for one night but was very impressed. Had a huge duplex room/suite which cleverly designed over two floors. The bar was very cosy and the service was good. There is also a lovely rooftop bar which offers a stunning view over Manchester.

Had roomservice breakfast which was fresh and tasty and served on exactly the time I had ordered it for.

For somebody who stays at a lot of hotel this place offers a refreshing change!

The room itself was unique. Lovely features including a stand-alone bath tub in the bedroom (in addition to a separate shower in the bathroom), spring line windows and exposed beams give it a distinct ambience and warmth.
The bed was large and comfortable, lighting was good and noise low. While there was not a choice of pillows those provided were comfortable.
There were a few scuff marks probably caused by luggage on the walls but otherwise it was very clean.
The reception area is too small for the hotel whereby if more than one group is checking in/out at the same time there is not sufficient space in the lobby area. Given the otherwise good experience this would not prevent me from revisiting but should be expanded for a better experience. Try to avoid peak times for checking in/out.
Service was adequate in that it met expectations - there is no going the 'extra mile' to help.
If there was a 'good' rating on trip advisor between average and very good I would rate this hotel at that level. Value is good for the size of the room but the service needs to improve to warrant the price (paid GBP 160 per night, midweek). A porter to help with luggage would be a good starting point.

We've been here before as everything is always spot on. It's a very well presented Boutique Hotel and a little bit quirky. Just wanted to let you know that all my family had an amazing stay and we will definitely be booking again next year.

How wonderful to be in a hotel that runs smoothly and efficiently by staff that look genuinely pleased to be there. We were at the hotel for the marriage of my son and new daughter-in-law, it was a fabulous event that moved seamlessly throughout the day aided by an attentive, smiling staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, service equally as good and breakfast did not disappoint, catering for all appetites. The bedrooms were fabulous, just as welcoming as the staff, everything one could want was there.
A big thank you to everyone involved, you gave us a wonderful, unforgettable day!

Room Tip: Rooms on the front are considerably lighter.

I recently attended a full day meeting here and was truly impressed by the place - gorgeous, stylish and a thoroughly nice place to be.

I hope to get the chance to stay one day, but am hopelessly locked in to collecting Marriott and IHG loyalty points!

Went to 50th birthday bash and arrived to go on the roof terrace. You can get a great view of the 'coronation set' from up there and it was a lovely evening in 19 degrees.
Had outdoor BBQ food which was excellent.
Had to move to indoors at 11.30 due to their licensing agreements - OK but seemed a shame since it was not raining and we were being quiet!
Team were very attentive and warm

Room Tip: N/a we didn't stay but the host did and lovely the hot tub!
