We visited early for lunch in this newly-opened restaurant which was the San Rocco. The staff are charming and helpful and the menu wide and classic. Starters of melenzane alla parmigiana and tonno e fagioli were perfect. The veal dishes, vitello all limone and saltimbocca alla Romana were excellent with either a good salad or varied vegetables served with them. The zucchini fritti were lightly battered and excellent. The creme brulle was very good too. One of us had a pizza which was a major disappointment being over cooked and with too little tomato and too much cheese. He was not charged for it. This alone prevents a 5 * rating from us.

Dined there this weekend, really looking forward to it as we used to enjoy this restaurant prior to the recent revamp and change of name. Service was slow, the salad starters soggy, steak was good but again the side salad was soggy instead of crisp, the calzone hardly had any filling and what there was had not much taste to recommend it, There were also 2 items on the bill which were not ours but when we queried it, the bill was quickly and politely corrected.
Having said that we could see they were exceptionally busy but would think twice before booking again.

Excellent.
A family group including a child, toddler and baby.
Service was absolutely outstanding.
The variety of meals on the menu meant we were spoiled for choice and each person was torn between their choices. When the food was served we all loved our meals. We were sorry that we did not take any photo's but we were just enjoying the company and the food.
We would have no hesitation in recommending to others and have already done so.

I have eaten here for over 25 years and Bacio has rekindled the spirit of earlier previous restaurants . It is truly Homely Italian and Dominica has brought the food quality back to its best . I had Calamari .. Perfecto ! And followed by fillet steak which I asked for medium to well . It arrived well and without me saying anything it was taken away and returned a new perfectly cooked medium to well . The decor and atmosphere are wonderful . Unfortunately the heritage of San Rocco which sadly ran out of steam is temporarily holding Bacio back. But like me discerning dinners will return and once again it will be the little Gem of Italy it should be . Bon appetito.!
