Firstly they have a great range of beers but it is expensive. On the (Friday) night we were in there was very little atmosphere. There seems to be a 'we're cooler than you' vibe going on from the staff and we couldn't wait to drink up and move on to a place where we could enjoy ourselves.

Gets very busy at times, but worth a visit for the brilliant beers on offer. No food, but little dishes of nuts and things good value (satay broad beans available!)

God quality beer but shocking prices. £5 a pint for a 3.8% beer, brewed in the U.K. Nothing at all sensibly priced along with poor service.
At least Dick Turpin wore a mask!!

I always make sure I come to Port Street Beer House when I visit Manchester. I've forgotten how I found out about it but I was getting fed up of not being able to find a decent pint in the centre of Manchester.

That is until I came here for the first time. They serve a range of local, national and international real ales, craft beers, lagers and ciders either on draught or bottled. I don't think I've ever seen the same beer on draught here more than once. Prices are a bit on the steep side for some of the beers, but when you take into consideration how hard to come across some of them are you don't mind paying that little bit extra.

I've brought friends here from my neck of the woods in Liverpool, and also up from Somerset to visit this place, and they all love it.

Plus, it's handy for the pubs and bars in the Northern Quarter, none of which can compete with Port Street Beer House; and it's a short walk from Piccadilly station which is handy for me.

I just want to know when they are going to open a branch of Port Street 35 miles away down the M62 as people have tried and failed to open similar bars in Liverpool.

Just check the opening hours on their website before you visit here though.
