We stayed here as part of a hen party. We booked 2 double double rooms and were allocated right next to each other which was a bonus! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was a 5 min walk to piccadilly gardens and market st. Rooms were spotless, cosy and spacious (even for 4 girls!) Would 100% recommend this hotel, and will be back in the future!

great contemporary rooms especially the ones with 2 queens which my daughters had, buffet breakfast was plentiful but the real surprise was the fantastic Bar 24 on the ground floor with large booths, some holding 10 or so people, which made for a great gathering point, so much so our bar bill was nearly as much as the room (although we were also attending a wedding in the hotel which was done superbly)!!!! Great location 10 minutes from the shops with a discounted payable car park so close it might as well belong to the hotel unlike the usual trek from NCPs you get for most of the central hotels. Room rate makes this not much more than the travel inns but you get more buck for your ££££. Highly recommend and we will use again

Room Tip: higher floors stops passing pedestrians walking past bedroom windows although there are nets up

We stayed one night here on our way to York. The front desk staff were very friendly; and the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel in the city is perfect, about a 10-15 minute walk from Piccadilly train station. For convenience, we had the breakfast offered by the restaurant attached to the hotel - very good value for the money, in terms of quality and quantity of the buffet food offered.

Stayed here for 2 nights in early February as my husband had to attend a business function on the first night.
Good location in Chinatown and easy walk from Picadilly station. Parked in a very local (and award winning) car park. Discount is available for hotel guests (I think £16 instead of £20 for each 24 hours.)
Our room was on the top floor and was suitable for the disabled. It was a comfortable and well appointed room in neutral colours. Bathroom was a wet room, with shower only. However this did mean if using the loo shortly after the shower had been used, the bathroom floor was still quite wet. (I should think this is quite a potential hazard if you were disabled.) We had difficulty getting the temperature of the room right overnight.
In the wardrobe there were 2 horizontal hanging rails. (Due to it being suitable for the disabled.) However it was impossible to hang any full length items from the upper rail (due to the one below), and the lower rail was at a height which meant even suits didn't hang clear of the floor! (Really not ideal.)
Breakfast was buffet style, and sadly the cooked items didn't fare well sitting for long periods in heated metal containers. However on the Sunday morning, I noticed an additional menu on the table, which contained cooked to order items, a much better option. (If this had been there the previous morning, it was well hidden!)
I had room service on the evening my husband was attending the function. The number for room service was not answered so I called reception who said they'd get room service to 'phone me. Half an hour later, no word. Still no answer when I tried room service, so I 'phoned reception again. I was then contacted by room service and my request arrived. However it took well over an hour from my initial attempt to request a meal, which was very unsatisfactory, having been quite hungry when I tried to place the order.
On the Saturday evening, we availed ourselves of the cocktail special offer for residents. (2 cocktails for £10.) The bar was really busy, with a buzzing atmosphere. The cocktails and bar staff were very good. (We hadn't changed clothing to go to the bar, but this wasn't an issue.)
In summary this is a comfortable hotel in central Manchester, but certain aspects could be improved.

Thank you for taking time to write a review your feedback is extremely important to us. I am pleased to say that the metal containers have now been replaced with a heated ceramic display and dishes improving the quality of the breakfast.
