Description: Evuna Originated in 2002 as a fine wine house with a main interest in importing Fine Spanish Wines from Boutique wineries. In November 2003 Evuna Deansgate was born with one vision to bring the people of Manchester the many hidden gems of the amazing diverse country that is Spain. To complement our amazing wines we brought the best chefs from Madrid to rustle up an eclectic mix of Spanish dishes ranging from tapas to full banquets with anything in between. At each location we also offer a wine merchant service where customers can take their favourite wines home with them by the bottle or buy the case. In our small shop area you can browse our offers whilst enjoying a glass of wine and some tapas.

“Great tapas, but make sure you book!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2014 via mobile

I've been to the Evuna on Deansgate several times, but couldn't get a Saturday booking so tried NQ. I wasn't disappointed.

Restaurant has a great atmosphere and the food is delicious. The portion sizes were great - 6 tapas between two of us was more than enough. If you like cheese, give the Manchego a go - I couldn't get enough!

My only criticism would be that for a tapas restaurant, the selection is fairly limited. Also, book early. I was there for several hours and don't think I saw any space and several people were turned away.

Definitely worth a walk to the Northern Quarter to visit Evuna!

“pre club meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2014

we hadn't booked and asked at the door luckily we managed to get a table for two. whilst we were studying the menu we ordered some draught beer .. very nice fresh taste. we ordered some evuna chips with garlic dip, goats cheese salad, fresh bread, chicken on skewers, meatballs. you might think we ordered too much but that was exactly spot on.

the food arrived piping hot very tasty sauce on the meatballs, so much so used the bread to wipe the bowl free from the saucy residue..yum.

th evuna chips were more like little par-boiled potatoes coated with salt again bang on .

overall i would certainly recommend the restaurant very good service. will go for the wine tasting next i think sounds good.

“It's good tapas, service mixed”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

We did not get off to a good start as they had no record of our booking - this was accepted as their mistake however and a table was found for us after first getting some free Cava, very nice and excellent service.
Then the not so good service - a hassled and miserable male server just arrived to take our order. It is a while since I have visited a tapas restaurant and a run through of what to expect would have been appreciated. We had to ask how it worked - no specials or recommendations were suggested and it was a most unsatisfactory interchange with us feeling like we were an inconvience for being there. We soon saw this same waiter oozing charm and interest at a nearby table of three young women - don't get to 50 something seems to be the motto here.
The food when it came was excellent - really good sized portions for tapas and I particularly enjoyed the gambas, chicken skewers and filetitos. The wine we chose was the recommended one and was excellent with the food.
I have given 4 stars as had to take one off for the hit and miss service - all the other staff were fine, attentive without being intrusive and helpful at the beginning of what could have been a disaster (Saturday night) . Shame that one person let the whole experience down.
Also - last orders for tapas, on a Saturday night in a City centre was 10pm, really?
A final reminder to check your bill - we did not realise until the day after (cocktail bar first, then free Cava and wine did not help) that we were charged twice for one bottle of wine.

“Very tasty food, excellent service, friendly atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2014 via mobile

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday post-Christmas but chose to eat off the main menu as wanted to try more of a variety or tapas than the lunch menu offered (although the lunch menu is great value). I've been wanting to eat at Evuna for a while and wasn't disappointed when we did. We enjoyed all of the tapas dishes we choice as well as the wine and beer we had with it. The toilets aren't the easiest of find, or the most plush but they were clean. Hope to eat here again soon.
