I always go here when going to the cinema as it is in the city centre in a fantastic location. It is run down as you walk through the hallway to the cinema but as soon as you are in your screen its fine. I have never had a problem with the film not running properly or anything and the staff are great. It's cheap for a cinema and I will continue to use it.

Ok, it's relatively cheap as cinemas go... but it all feels very uncared for, it may as well be completely automated.
Virtually no human interaction, cinema smelled weird, no staff to eject the noisy scum who spoilt the film. No seating options. .. will pay reluctantly pay more in future and go to the Odeon or Vue... this place will be a lawless, toilet of a place very soon

We recently visited the AMC complex in Manchester to see the film Rush.
We won't be going back.
The car park underneath was well lit with plenty of spaces. The cinema complex is simply awful. It's dirty, full of gaming machines and hardly any staff around and those who were seemed totally disinterested.
We attempted to buy some sweets, again one person serving with plenty of people waiting.
The best thing about this place was the film.

Previously, this cinema used to be my go-to choice; it's a lot quieter than the Printworks and there are a good range of movies showing. The ticket prices are slightly cheaper than some of the other Manchester cinemas, too. And while not required by me personally, they do have a lot of audio described films on, which wins them a brownie point for accessibility.

BUT - to say that this cinema is a little out of town, it could do a lot better. Popped over with the husband a few days ago and parked up in the Great Northern car park, which is in the same complex. £11 for 2+ hours of parking!

Inside the cinema, the tickets might be cheap but the food and drink is extortionate - £2.10 for a small bottle of water. We all know that cinema eats are never going to be cheap but come *on*. I nipped to the bathroom while my husband was waiting for the food - the disabled loo was completely filthy, with used sanitary towels and napkins piled up on top of the sanitary bin and the floor next to it. The floor was soaking and there was an overwhelming stink. The only way to get water out of the tap that isn't skin-flayingly hot is to turn the tap on full and then some; as the sink in the disabled loo is tiny and low-down, this results in you getting a scalding hot soaking. Which is awesome, obviously - everyone wants to look like they've wet themselves on a date night with their husband.

During the film, the reel was covered in scratches and the sound was something akin to being yelled at in a cave. People kept filing in up to 20 minutes after the movie started, and when people means "a frothing band of tweens all going, "ARMAHGARD THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE WELL SCARY! ARMARGARD SHHHHHHH!!1!!! HAHAH! SHHHHH!" during the second scene, it's less than cool. Don't most cinemas have a cut-off point?

After the movie, I couldn't face the disabled loo again, so I went to the ladies'. The toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall, there was urine on the floor and seat (this is after I decided against the loo with the dirty toilet paper on the floor) and there were - I kid you not - over ten soap dispensers with no soap in them. This is on a Saturday night, so what gives?

AMC Deansgate is getting closer and closer to becoming The Cinema That Quality Forgot - hope they can turn it around.
