Having had food in the Wetherspoons on Deansgate we opted for Lloyds 1 as it would be a decent place to sit and chat as a family without the usual pub distractions.
The very first thing we were asked is if we had any children with us. As my son was there this seemed a particularly stupid question. We were then told we had to be eating in order to stay, but when I informed the server that we had in fact, just eaten at the other Wetherspoons it made no difference.
Wethers, sort yourselves out, having rules is all well and good but firstly, at least employ peoply who know how to speak to customers, then employ a little flexibility.
If you want a cheap drink, spend more and go elsewhere. We did, and found Waxy O'Connors to be a massive improvement.
