“Birthday party in function room.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

Had a friends party here. Stayed at jury inn just 200 yards away. Female bouncer very friendly towards my kids. Room upstairs has area for DJ or a band. Has a small outdoor balcony attached to function room if its a nice night. Clean room. Light and airy. Bar in room was well staffed. ( makes a refreshing change for venues like this!) bar staff quick and friendly. Wine £4 glass and most around £12 a bottle.

“Perfect for chilling out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013

We found this by accident when trying to find somewhere else! Great location. We spent a sunny afternoon here with a couple of bottles of wine and good food whilst watching the world go by. Service was good. It has a real buzz about it! Would quite easily go back on our next visit.

It was really great bar only draw back was they stopped serving food at 6pm. By time we parked and found the Bridgewater Hall they stopped serving food. Otherwise the atmosphere was very good and laid back.

“Nice feel good bar”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

It is very popular here in the evenings but I had never been in on a weekday lunchtime before last week. Very quiet by comparison, apart from the jukebox which was playing a selection of the world's cheesiest hits ever, while Jeremy Kyle was showing silently (thank goodness) on a wall mounted TV screen. It is an attractive and welcoming pub with a pleasant looking area of seating outside, which will be nice if the temperature ever improves, and cheery friendly staff. The food is pub kind of standard - tasty and just enough for lunchtime. Handy for Oxford Road station and the Bridgewater Hall area.
