We spent 2 nights here recently whilst ona short trip to see a football match in Liverpool. We chose the hotel because of its proximity to the railway station and it proved an excellent choice in terms of location. We were close to shops and restaurants and also, of course, to the trains.
The hotel itself was clean and modern and the staff were helpful. The only niggle I would have is that we didn't have enough towels for both of us. It wasn't a problem in itself but it seemed that the only way to contact reception was by calling a number that charged 10p per minute. We went downstairs instead but I don't see why calls like this should be chargeable.
Apart from that very slight glitch we had an enjoyable stay and would use the hotel again although I probably wouldn't be keen on walking there alone after dark as a female as the surrounding roads seemed rather poorly lit.
