“Very underrated”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

I love this place, this restaurant is one of the main reasons i look forward to going Manchester.
Theres loads of choice - chinese, indian, italian and more and if you go at lunch time it's a lot cheaper. I don't understand all the negative reviews everyone i went with loved it.

“Very good selection....than the others around china town/ manchester”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

the new Tai Wu has a great selection of all cuisines. Loved the oriental section the most. Very clean and tidy buffet. the chinese section had dim-sums, prawns, duck shred( not fresh) but many other healthy fillers than the usual chinese DEEP FRIED sections at other buffets. here they have a small island of deep fried item and loads more healthy stuff around the main buffet.

Very tasty small indian section, juiciest chicken tikka and cholle (chickpea curry) and rice. big popadums. Didn't try the Italian section, which also had the thai part which we missed.

there is a dedicated salad and sushi section as well, next to the small but not so tempting desserts corner.

Beware people asking for Tap water....they do charge water by the glass ( still or sparkling), so better off order something worth the money like a cocktail or iced tea.

£11.50 on Fri Sat

“Lovely food”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Had the buffet. It really was very nice. You could eat as much as you like of Indian, Chinese, Italian food. Plenty to choose from.

Don't expect a posh restaurant - there are too many people wandering around helping themselves to food.

“Wouldn't go again”
Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

I hadn't eaten here for a couple of years and last time the buffet was underground and the ground floor was a decent a la carte restaurant. How times change... The buffet has a fair selection of dishes and although some were ok, others were poor. There are better Chinese buffets around, my favourite is at Pan Asia but it was closed for refurbishment at the time.

“Nice food, fantastic variety!”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

I ate here with friends on a short stay in Manchester. The price is good (just over £9 each for dinner and also 20% off for students) and the food was really nice.

There are options from all around the world but the Chinese section is really wide and they even have crispy duck which is nice.

Drinks are reasonably priced and the live cooking stations are a nice feature.

Would recommend for tasty food in an informal setting.
