“Typical TGI's but a bit homogenised......”
Reviewed March 25, 2013 via mobile

If you are reading this review you probably have been to TGIs before and know what to expect, and in that respect you will not be disappointed. As usual the standard of food is good, provided you are ready for ribs, burgers, steaks etc. the quantity on the plate is good, the food is well cooked and presentation is okay in a sort of pre-packed way. The servers are very friendly and outgoing but this place is so cavernous that you don't see them very much, for example if you want another drink you have to attract their attention.
I had booked a table for 8 on-line in advance and this was ready and waiting for us. Unfortunately they didn't have a table we could all sit around so we ended up sitting in a lie, not ideal for a family reunion. Just a pity that the website did not pre-warn of this.
Lighting is typically dimmed and the writing on the menu is very small, so take your glasses with you!!!'mmm
All in all this TGIs s good but just a bit bland, a bit 'painting by numbers'. Compared to the TGIs in the USA it doesn't have that feeling of being part of the action.

Went Saturday lunch time just as they opened. Very friendly staff with good service, although main course slightly slow to come. Food was very good for all in party.

“Fantastic American style restaurant”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

I went with my family for a meal out and we had a very good time here! The staff were very welcoming and everyone seemed friendly. The American style was different and i enjoyed it as the menu included gourmet meals such as; sticky ribs, chicken wings, burgers etc. All the food was big portions and tasted fantastic!! This is my favourite restaurant, you need to go! :)

“Terrible staff”
Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

Been tonight (Saturday) We have been before and previously enjoyed it. What a terrible let down. Arrived to a busy bar, never usually a problem. I took a seat and my partner went to the bar. It took almost 30 minutes for him to get served. The one single bar tender who was blatantly serving everyone else first, had a Huge que of people waiting to be served and the bar tender (who is supposed to be good at his job) was busy seductivly peeling strawberries to a couple of young ladies who had ordered Daqueries. After finally being served our buzzer went off so we went to get the table. The young oriental boy was too busy fluttering with his fluffy purple pen and had forgotten what table we were to be on so we were shoved next to a waiter station. My partner took his first sip of his pint and it was as flat as a pancake. Managed to exchange for another. Ordered the food, a selection of chicken Wings to start and fajitas for main. Starters arrived and were very tasty, the only let down with this being that dips weren't full enough in tubs just a tiny tea spoon full in each. Busy enjoying the starters when the waiter walks over with our main course ready to put down on the already full tiny table. I explained that we weren't ready for our mains yet as we were clearly still eating our starters. He looked very much put out. In the meantime ordered a diet coke, one again totally flat so was sent back. After we ate the starters main arrived Chicken & Steak Fajitas with a substantial amount of chicken but clearly missing much of the steak. Side salad dry and shrivelled up. The nicest part was the chips. Partner ordered another pint of Bud. Waiter arrived had two pints in his hand one clearly only 3 quarters full which he went to put down on the table. I told him we weren't accepting this and would like a full pint so he gave us the other pint that was meant for another table. Once again flat so was sent back. Couldn't wait to get out of there so got the bill. On the way out called into the loos. Well what can I say absolutely filthy and disgusting. The floor was littered with toilet paper used and unused, there were sanitary towels hanging out of the full to bursting bins the cubicle I was in smelt strongly of vomit. The ladies in the next cubicles were also commenting on the apalling state the loos. The tap sensors tap sprayed out all over the sinks, clearly never been serviced or reported since the place opened. They should take a leaf out of the prestwich branch book and get the loos checked and signed by the staff. This whole experience tonight was totally shocking especially from a so called "flagship" branch. The staff clearly couldn't be bothered and had absolutely no interest in the customer. There are not enough bar staff for a Saturday night. One person serving everyone is not enough. We were so close to walking out at the beginning when we hadn't been served. I only wish we had and spent our money elsewhere. I will never come to TGI Fridays ever again. SHAME ON YOU!!!
