We stumbled across Trove and so pleased we did! If we had not of already eaten then the Pizza would have been top choice. We simply had two cappuccinos in a relaxed environment. There was a great choice of sandwiches especially being vegetarian and we bought some homemade organic bread at a great price. The cafe is unassuming and a delight. We will be back!

It's very rare to realise that somewhere is 'special' the moment you walk in. But Trove is one of those rarities. This tiny, calm oasis, with it's tranquil and rustic decor, is a gem. Organic bread, cakes and delicious coffee make for a simple yet elegant menu. The owners have set out to foster a sense of community and shared communication, and it's apparent - from their own demeanour and that of their clientele - that they've succeeded in making this a 'must visit' venue. Can't wait to go back....

We've visited Trove several times and always resolve to come back more often. Crockery and cuterly has been beautifully chosen to compliment the always excellent food and drink. The bread is all home made, the coffee is excellent, the tea wonderful and such provisions as a bottle of water and clean glasses on each table just top off the experience. The prices are more than reasonable considering some of the high street competition that is slightly higher priced and of far lower quality. The staff and proprietors are always friendly, remember faces and are calm and serene even when things get busy. They're happy to go that extra mile! Definitely a gem worth visiting.

I have visited Trove several times and have always been impressed. The coffee is fantastic, all food is locally sourced, they bake their own bread a few times a week and at weekend they serve pizza in the evening. Forget your typical greasy heavy pizza, Trove's is authentic and such good value. In an area where every other shop is a dingy kebab house or pound shop, Trove is a real gem.

What I love about Trove is their fresh approach to brining their customer’s quality foods, home made breads and delicious jams/chutneys. In the last year of visiting this cozy independent café we’ve never had a bad experience. The only time we didn’t eat at Trove was when there weren’t enough tables and we were too hungry to stick around. We’ve found that getting there early is the best way to guarantee a seat at the big wooden central dining table.

Their approach to coffee is also a great – they use Hasbean Coffee, which outside of the city center can be hard to find.

Trove has a great menu, which includes daily homemade specials. They also has a seasonal weekend brunch menu, which in the past has included; Kedgeree, smoked mackerel and scrambled eggs on toast, eggs Florentine on sourdough, eggs benedict on sourdough and black pudding potato cake, bacon and fried egg with tomato chutney (home-made).

The staff and the owners, Marcus & Katie, make you feel welcome and at home. The food and drinks are also reasonably priced and there’s a nice creative/relaxed feel within the hub of this very special independent.
