“quite majestic !”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

The architecture is compelling and inspires images of yesteryear when Manchester was probably the most important city in the World, the one who's industrial practices became a template for the World. Prince Albert had a real affection for the city, how it put Britain at the forefront of international trade during the Victorian era, hence the statue and the square named in his honour.

“What's On”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

Every time I have visited Manchester there is usually some event taking place in the square. From food and wine tasting events to street entertainers. Or just sit and take in the hustle and bustle of life in the city. Overlooked by the magnificent town hall building.

Great location, easy to get to. Lots of food and drink to sample and to buy. Would have liked better weather but hey, you can't have everything!

Reviewed April 8, 2013

there are plenty of cafes, to sit outside in the square, but the traffic is never ending and noisy. the view of town hall is really good, and Manchester events are held in the square
