“an amazing start to our honeymoon”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

We came here on Wednesday 5th of June before flying out to Spain on the Thursday. We had just got married on the Sunday before. When we got there the reception guy called Frank was very helpful and told us a lot about Spain . They truly looked after us and made us feel like a million dollars!! And i have stayed in a few 5 star hotel and this was by far the best we have been to . The hotel upgraded our room and we were on the 12th floor and they sent us up champagne and a chocolate plate with beautiful strawberries. They also sent us up a £25 drinks voucher for a cocktail in the bar which was beautiful. The hotel room was amazing the spa facilities were truly amazing .We had a meal in the opus restaurant which was the best meal we have ever had i had the lamb for main course. Peter really looked after us while we ate. On our departure they made us a on the go breakfast which was complimentary because we left at 4am we had two bacon and fried egg sandwich two fresh pastries and fresh orange juice and coffee and a lovely bunch of grapes. Our stay was truly amazing everybody including David.b on our check out was amazing. We couldn't afford a massive amount and i spent my budget on a bed only room and they made it so special!!!!!! thank you all and i would hope to see you again,

Room Tip: im sure all the rooms are high quality

And awful shower pressure, surprising given Manchester's reputation. Avoid room facing internal atrium as was noisy late at night and early in the morning. Expensive and surprised to pay extra for breakfast. Otherwise all very modern and stylish as you'd expect from Radisson. Very close to central conference centre.

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel. We have not received any comments regarding the shower pressure in our guest bedrooms. I am sorry to hear that you did not like the Atrium facing rooms we do have other room types available such as our Business Class and City Deluxe rooms that you may prefer in the future.

I stayed for two evenings and was allocated a room on the 9th floor. Although the blinds were a little strange, large columns of material, the overall stay was excellent.

The room was beautifully decorated, excellent walk in wet room for shower. breakfast facilities and bar were great and staff very friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed the stay which was a cut above the normal hotels I've stopped in.

The staff were friendly, yet professional. The service overall that we received was excellent. The breakfast was delicious. We thought the hotel interior & our room was lovely. We felt the price we paid was reasonable for what we got. I would recommend this hotel & we intend to stay again.

The hotel was great and in a very central location! We made use of the spa treatments and they were very luxurious and relaxing. The "standard" room was of a much higher standard than other hotels I have stayed in and great value for money. We didn't get up in time for breakfast so can't really comment on that.

I stay in a lot of hotels globally and so I see myself as an expert. The hotel entrance is nice with a small but impressive reception but I was slightly annoyed to be welcomed with "hello mate". The rooms were small but again well laid out.

There was a nice bar area and a nice breakfast lounge.

The hotel is also in good area for walking, restaurants and bars.

However, as other travellers will no doubt agree, compared to other global hotels, this isn't a 5 star hotel.

super hotel and rooms and bathroom sumptious, however tad bit annoying when staff check you in with tirade of waffle but omit to tell you the room key operates the lift.It took us 20 minutes to receive a drink at the bar only for the tab to be loaded with 10% for the pleasure,i think not!!!! And when checking out the reception staff tried to charge 20% vat on top of the room terrace price of £340 a complaint ensued with the management leaving you in no uncertain terms that this seemed common practice that when your given a fixed price for a room unless you have written confirmation to the contrary you will be charged the additional 20% on top of your room charge ,a further stay here will be a long way off i feel.

I would like to apologise for the confusion with the room rate. Our published prices now include VAT, however some reservations made prior to the switch-over still appear to be exclusive of VAT. Our bar is very popular with hotel guests and local clients, I am sorry you encountered a delay.
