“A quick getaway - great stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

We have stayed at Didsbury House on a number of occasions at it doesn't disappoint. Great room up on the top floor with lovely bathroom. Helpful and friendly staff and a great breakfast. All in all a very good boutique hotel.

Didsbury house is a lovely hotel, very comfortable, we thought it was a bit overpriced, and we were very disappointed that breakfast was not included in the price (we paid £342 for two rooms. Location was good, within a few minutes walk of the wedding reception we were going to. We did find the room very hot at night, even after leaving the window wide open all night.

Stayed for one night on 1/8. Was very impressed by pretty much everything, room, reception on arrival and depart, breakfast and general feel of the place. I stayed with a business colleague who apparently had a tremendous room with a bath in the bedroom. He wasn't sure it was a benefit for his stay, but had some ideas if he brought his wife back! Which he is intending to do!
The breakfast was top level, and the room felt like home from home....
The staff were all young but extremely friendly and efficient.
Good location with a couple of nice pubs and Dimitris, a good Greek restaurant up the road.
Good DAB radios in the rooms which was something different.
No moisturiser in bathroom toiletries, which was surprising for a hotel of this standard.
Overall definitely worth a stay.

This is an awesome place but it was VERY hot when we stayed there - the inn has no air conditioning - and the windows don't open far enough to get circulation! UGH!!! But the staff was kind and accommodating and the food was GREAT!!!

Stayed here as part of a wedding party and could not fault the service, food (excellent breakfast in a welcomingly cool basement room)/ drink and location - ideal to walk to the Church and near by Chef & Brewer. We stayed in room 36 with a small balcony.
A few things to watch out (given hot summer) - don't take a room facing the main road otherwise the windows have to stay shut all night e.g. room 36 and watch for the cheap bathroom fittings - no European brands just cheap Chinese none branded copies - some of the fittings came off in a friends adjacent room 37

Room Tip: Don't choose rooms facing the front of the hotel which face the busy main road e.g. 36

Came for daughters graduation, excellent position, lovely building, friendly staff. For the price would have expected a bit more luxury, saw ourselves to our room, view of the car park, not great. Lacking a set of towels,no flannels, short of a mug and the milk in the fridge. Then had to pay extra for breakfast, pleasant ,but not worth £13. They even charge for wi.fi. Leaves an unpleasant taste in the mouth.good job the parking was free.....

My husband surprised me with a night at the Didsbury House Hotel for my birthday as I have wanted to stay there for a while now. One thing I can say is that it did not disappoint! The room, the service, the wine was absolutely gorgeous and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from real life for a night! The room was spotless and the bath in the middle of the room was gorgeous!

Room Tip: Choose a suite in the main house - stunning!
