“An unexpected treat. If only I had more time to explore more.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

Visit Manchester from over the hills in Barnsley today, specifically so that I could see the Jeremy Deller, Grayson Perry and Christian Dior exhibitions you have on, and the Alison Goldfrapp/Manchester Music Archive exhibitions at the Lowry.

Perry's show was fantastic. Everything I expected it would be, and more. Wasn't expecting the Hogarth plates!
The Deller exhibiton was brilliant. Really had no idea what to expect, despite being a long time fan. Really relevant to here I work in Experience Barnsley: Museum & Discovery Centre too, so thank.
I had no idea the Dior exhibiton was in a different gallery until we asked the lovely lady on the front desk. She drew a map for us and explained that it was a little out of town. I said that we probably wouldn't have time to visit in that case. She then gave us her own recommendations of places to go within the immediate area. Brilliant service and very friendly.

Your shop was great and was other displays, although I only gave them a brief look.
The Clor children's play area is excellent and really innovative. Loved the drawing table too.
The childrens explorer kits (tool belts and helmets) were great. Really nice to see little'ns wondering around with them on. I was told they were inspired by Dora The Explorer.

Only wish I had more time to visit. 90 minutes was nowhere near enough. Keep it up.

“Definitely worth a visit!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2014

This hidden gem is a great half-day out, free entry but worth a donation. Really interesting and the dedicated staff were cheerful and well informed. Great activities in place for kids too but loads of interesting things to see and hear about for adults. Would recommend to everyone but check its open before going as it is primarily run by volunteers so isn't open everyday.

“A great way to spend a rainy Manchester afternoon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2014

The Manchester art gallery is located centrally, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Manchester.

The large gallery has constantly changing exhibitions so there's always something new to see.

It's the perfect way to spend a rainy Manchester afternoon, a must see!
