The Manchester Art Gallery is one of my favourite places in Manchester. Today I thoroughly enjoyed the Grayson Perry tapestries "The Vanity of Small Differences". I have never seen his work before and found it as enjoyable as his recent lectures broadcast by the BBC. The work is on view until 2nd February. You need at least an hour just for this but it is worthwhile spending longer to look at all the other galleries.
