What a welcome addition to Manchester's eateries! I love Italian food and in particular the more traditional dishes that I have eaten in Puglia, so it is fantastic to find somewhere so rustic and authentic, albeit that the owner is from Naples. I love the mozzarella platters that come with roasted vegetables and the pasta dishes are amazing-just beware if you are dieting as they are huge! My favourite is the seafood pasta, which comes in a delicious tomato sauce and plenty of prawns, mussels, baby octopus and squid rings. Coffees are great too and be sure to ask for a little plate of the sweet treats, beautiful assorted biscuits imported from Sicily. Recently we have had to wait a bit longer than usual for our order to be taken and for food to arrive because they have been so busy, so if it is your first time perhaps avoid lunchtimes. They are busy for a reason though, and it is worth the wait!

Step out of Manchester and step into Italy! A compact and intimate restaurant & deli where you really do soak up the atmosphere of a true Italian restaurant. Fantastic food and great wine, what more could you ask for?! Superb Italian food cooked in front of you by true Italians. I would highly recommend the selection of ham and cheese platter to share for start!

We found this gem a year ago when visiting Manchester and had porchetta and broccoli rabe panini sandwiches and have been dreaming of them for twelve months. We brought six friends with us this time and the owner was as friendly as we remembered and willing to accommodate our large group inside where space is limited. fantastic starters of fresh melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella and bruschetta and sliced meats for our large and hungry group. A sampler of tiramisu, panicotta, and pistachio-fudge bars topped the evening off. We'll be back next year!

We love Italy and Italian food, but in the UK it is very hard to find anything approaching authentically Italian food or really good ingredients, treated with respect, love and knowledge. We have now found that place. If I were in Italy, I would be so pleased to have found such a place, so imagine how pleased we are that we now have one in Manchester!

It has a small menu and daily specials on a chalkboard which can all be adapted if you wish- the staff are knowledgeable and friendly- affably Italian. The mozzarella platters are excellent and the pasta is sublime. There are only a few small tables inside but a lovely atmosphere of intimacy without stuffiness. Yes, it may be more expensive that a chain serving Anglicised 'Italian' food, but it is exceptional value for the quality of what you eat and the way in which it is cooked and served. You will leave feeling like part of the family and planning your next trip back (next Wednesday, I hope!)
