I've visited Salvi's on a few occasions. It's a lovely little place and very friendly. Considering it's in such a popular and busy location the food seems very authentic and is considerably better than the Zizzi's next door.

It’s not the biggest place but if you’re lucky enough to grab a table, it’s a great place to stop for a coffee and a bite to eat. I’ve also purchased some of the mozzarella and salami for a homemade pizza and it was really fresh and tasty.

I’m guessing the main guy there is Salvi and he’s always very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place if you get the chance to visit.

Called in for coffee and sampled the soup - simple yet delicious. Returned for a mozzarella platter and pasta. The food is authentic fresh and tastes truly Italian. The atmosphere is friendly. The only non Mediterranean element was the chilly blast which blew in in when the door opened. Manchester need more of these small independent places to eat and shop.

Blink and you'll miss Salvi's tiny frontage on the Corn Exchange frontage across the road from Next. Once inside, you will receive the warmest Italian welcome, whether you want to buy, have a meal or just a coffee. The food is trully excellent - 100% Italian sourced - and the simplest pasta dish can taste as though you were in Italy! The staff are friendly and attentive, know their cuisine and genuinely want you to enjoy your visit and to return - which we do nearly every time we are in Manchester! Everything is freshly prepared in the tiny, open kitchen and all the ingredients seem to be on sale at the deli counter. Next time you are nearby, try a coffee and you are sure to return to try the food!

We found Salvi's after reading a review in the Times and simply can't get enough of it! We have not eaten yet, just sampled the wines, which are excellent.

The staff cannot be more welcoming, we love it!!
