My husband and I visited 47 King Street West for the first time on the £25 for three courses and a glass of Prosecco and were very pleasantly surprised.
The food was absolutely amazing, the flavours on each dish really complimented each other so well, and everything was cooked to perfection.
Also, the service was absolutely fantastic, we couldn't rate the waitresses higher - they were there when you needed them but were not overbearing at all.
The only downside was that the restaurant was rather quiet (only about 6 other tables), but it's small enough for this and it didn't bother us too much.
We will definitely be visiting again!

We decided on 47 as a quieter, Saturday afternoon alternative to the hustle and bustle of trying to get a decent table at one of the many fine eating places on Deansgate. We were greeted and seated at a table of our choice and opted for one course each from the daytime menu; chicken and leek pie for my wife while I opted for Penne with Chicken, Chorizo and Basil. The pie had a crisp, non greasy puff pastry lid and a delicate, slightly under seasoned filling which was sadly lacking the mmm factor. A little more chicken, perhaps? Or maybe a few lardons of crisp pancetta to complicate the texture as well as the flavour. My penne was cooked to perfection with a nice hit from the paprika complimenting the delicacy of the sauce. Again there could have been a few more pieces of chicken to balance the ingredient ratio. To accompany the food we had a Concha Y Toro Merlot - smooth and satisfyingly fruity, perfect for an afternoon. One or two teething troubles to overcome but the basics are in place and hopefully 47 will continue for many years to come

Been here several times, both for lunch and for dinner. Service is always great, the guys who run it are really friendly and helpful. The food is also great, a nice mix of meat, fish and veggie options. Go here with a gourmet dining card or during the week for their deals and it's great value for money.

Exceptional value for money. We took advantage of the mid week offer of 3 courses and a glass of prosecco for £25. We had expected to be given a limited version of the a la carte menu. However, there were no restrictions.

Both the service and the food were excellent. We enjoyed perfectly cooked scallops, fillet steak, veal, crème brulee and chocolate fondant. We couldn't fault any of it.

Highly recommended.

Paid our first visit to this place last night and it definitely won't be our last. From the moment we were seated at a table in the window to leaving, everything was excellent.

I say everything but the one small niggle (otherwise this would be a 5 star review) was that our top end Chablis wasn't really cold enough when we got it. It was good though that, when I mentioned this, it was immediately attended to.

That aside, we had a wonderful evening. Service was attentive but not overbearing. The female vocalist was excellent and there's a laid back atmosphere that just adds to the occasion. Most importantly, the food was outstanding. We went fish all the way with a delicious tuna carpaccio starter to share followed by sea bream and hake - both were wonderful. This place is famed for its deserts but we just couldn't find the room.

This is a place that cares about its customers and deserves to do well. It will certainly be getting our custom again soon.
