Was looking for a greek restaurant to try as recently moved to the Altrincham area. Having read the reviews on tripadvisor it got a very good rating. So we booked for Saturday night and arrived to a busy vibrant hub of a restaurant. The restaurant was quite busy as there was a table of around 30 people for a 50th birthday party. This did not affect the service and gave you time to digest and enjoy the food. I had the Spanakopitakia which was very tasty and the filo pastry crisp and hot. My husband had the halloumi sagnaki which he thoroughly enjoyed. For our mains we had the spicy lamb and normal souvlakia arnisio as we have enjoyed this dish whilst in Corfu and Cyprus. It was a welcome change to be asked how we wanted our lamb cooking, in other restaurants we have been to it comes as it is served! It came lovely and pink and was served on authentic greek pitta bread infused with the juices of the meat, fresh crisp salad, plenty of fried potatoes and a healthy portion of tzatziki. Not for the faint hearted, there is more than enough meat to get through so maybe order a starter to share or just savour the main course. Fortunately they have a good supply of takeout boxes for you to take home your leftovers! This is one of the best meals we have had, a credit to the owner and his wonderful staff. He works his way around the restaurant speaking to every table and asks if the food is OK. More than OK, this food is greek at it's best. We will definitely be going back in the next couple of weeks. Simply amazing and great value for money.
