Great place to stay when in town on business and need to somewhere to stay for more than a few days. The overall experience at The Atrium was great, it's comfy, clean, value for money and in a great location

This flat was exactly what we wanted it was our own space but secure with card access to get into corridor etc the room was lovely a few scuffs on wooden floor which I took photos off to prove it wasn't us who damaged it lol the only thing I can complain about is the £100 deposit they take as been home 4 days now and it's still not returned to my bank.

Paid less than £75 a night for a double bedroom, fully equipped kitchen and small living area + bathroom with a great shower. We had a problem with the shower which quickly ran out of hot water but this was soon put right. The Place is more spacious and much more expensive and the kitchen is less well equipped. Even though you have to pay for wifi it is still a bargain. We're returning later in the month.

We have stayed here a few times and on this occasion after check in, we where moved to a different room as the bathroom was filthy. The room we where moved into was fairly decent, although looking very dated and shabby. It could do with painting, new kitchen flooring and the mold removing from around the bath/tile sealant. These where good value for money but in their current state, are vastly overpriced. We where also woken several times during the night due to adjacent doors slamming; the walls in this room appeared wafer thin.

No complaints and would thoroughly recommend this place - it's a real gem! Recently stayed here for 3 nights and found the studio apt spotlessly clean and extremely cosy & comfortable. Its great location made it only a short stroll from Piccadilly and equally as close to the city centre. Found the staff welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would I stay here again? For sure and the only thing that could improve it would be free wifi - but it's not overly expensive buying it for the duration of your stay.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

I have stayed in Manchester regularly for over a year now, needing to be near the Manchester University area fortnightly. I usually stay at one of the Premier Inns or the Manchester University Business School. However, Premier Inn is very hard to get cheap rooms in these days- and I am reluctant to pay over £100/night for a budget hotel.

So, with this in mind, through booking.com I managed to get two stays here in the past month, in a studio apartment. I had never thought to book an apartment instead of a hotel before and never thought they would let them for only two nights. I got a pleasant surprise, spending under £60/night for my stays of two nights each: it's just like a hotel but with way more space and a fully kitted out kitchen (including a washer dryer).

One main drawback is that they do not service the room daily; that is done weekly. However, when staying only two or three nights this is not an issue for me at all. In fact, they supply enough towels for me to have clean ones both nights without needing the room serviced. A significant drawback for me was the fact that I couldn't receive decent signal for my mobile internet dongle- if I really needed internet (as I often do) I would've had to pay for their wifi, which is annoying when I'm already paying monthly for mobile internet!

They supply toiletries for the bathroom and tea bags etc like a normal hotel. Again if you are staying longer than two-three nights you might run out, but they do say you can call down and ask for more.

Other additional benefits include a radio and a DVD player (to supplement the TV)- they have a small library of DVDs to borrow but I didn't check out whether they were any good.

Apart from that, they have all the amenities you would require except food/room service (but they are near so many nice places to eat it's not an issue- and there are supermarkets nearby if you want to take advantage of the kitchen)- they have 24 hour reception (the staff are nice and professional). The location is highly convenient and everything is clean. I found it very quiet and easy to sleep. Recommended.

Room Tip: Studio apartments 416 and 516 are fantastic! Don't know about any of the other rooms.

Booked a room at short notice for a belated valentines day due to working schedule , we have stayed in many Manchester hotels as only live 20 minutes away including ramada , Britannia , jury's , travelodge raddison and also roomzz appartments so thought why not give the atrium a go and I'm glad we did , less than £60 for a Sunday night stay clean spacious fourth 4 appartment with all mod cons , no microwave though ? Bed a bit hard but good quality . Decided to have a night in for 2 , takeaway DVDs in a quiet setting , didn't want to leave and will be back no myther no fuss , enjoyed it
