“A yummy find”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

I came across the Marble Arch when I was looking for breweries in Manchester. After seeing the menu online I booked a surprise table for us on our short break. We were a bit dubious from the outside, but the atmosphere inside was great. The dining room is low key but I kind of like that... it feels like you're being let in on a secret foodie heaven! We could honestly have chosen anything and everything off the menu and very nearly came back the next day to have the bits we didn't order! The food and drink was amazing. The only disappointment was that the kitchen closed at 9pm before we had a chance to order dessert (we weren't told this) so we missed out on that. However, the staff were very apologetic and didn't charge us for the cheese board which almost (almost, I have a very sweet tooth and don't really like cheese) made up for it, for my Husband at least. We have already planned to come back for the next menu in the summer, I hope it stays exactly as is and remains a special discovery!

“Stunning!”
Reviewed April 5, 2014 via mobile

Hidden gem! Always packed which is a very good sign. The sloping floor to the bar is unique! Stunning selection of real ales....the Manchester Bitter is an amazingly golden ale and so smooth and easy to drink. The food menu has to be seen to be believed. Can't fault any part of this place

“What a pub! A must for any beer lover!”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

We came here as a group of 15 "hens"...Yes hens in a microbrewery pub!
The bar staff were incredible and understood that we were all lovers of beer! They allowed us to book in advance for a meal and could accommodate a large group of us. The food was served to us in the rear of the pub next to the kitchen in a small restaurant area.
The food was fantastic and served quickly. It was not pub grub...but something more special and delicious! The price reflects this, the food was not cheap for a pub but it was more like a restaurant and definitely worth the money!

The pub is a beautiful victorian building. It's really incredible...and the floor slopes which is funny as it makes you feel drunk before you've ordered your first pint!
There is a nice small beer garden out the back for summer evenings.

The beer selection here is great. It's part of a microbrewery so you get to try some really unique beers here. The Earl Grey IPA was my favourite! The staff really knew what they were talking about when it came to the beers and were only to happy and approachable to talk about it!

After our meal the staff gave us some bottles of Aimery Cremant de Limoux Brut, on the house! This was incredibly generous and unexpected! I'd like to say THANK YOU again to the manager and for the staff who were lovely. I really can't fault this pub in any way!

I will definitely be visiting again!

“Delicious food and beer”
Reviewed April 2, 2014 via mobile

This is a lovely old fashioned pub and is always busy. It is not fancy but the food is amazing and beers are delicious. It is 125 years old and the ornate tiles on the wall suggest it hasn't changed much since then! It is a great place to visit if you like traditional real ale pubs and or gourmet food!
