Saw The Courteeners here in December. Good size venue, it seemed a bit out of the way but we do not know the area. A taxi was cheap enough. Drinks very expensive inside and it was just cans, the pub next door was okay had character lots to look at inside.

Seen lots of bands play here and always left with a feeling of getting value for money. Downstairs, the floor is raked so that you get a good view wherever you stand, whilst upstairs is seated. Not the easiest place to get to, but can combine an evening concert with a curry in nearby Rusholme on the curry mile.

Ok so this theatre is a lot smaller than the likes of the M.E.N that it has to compete with in Manchester, but I found this a refreshing change. After seeing Lady Gaga at the M.E.N and realised you pretty much had no chance of getting anywhere near her or even close enough to make sure it definitely was her on stage, I thought it would be a repeat for Bruno Mars. But to my surprise I was wrong, although I was near the back I was still close enough to see properly. The fact that there was only 2 toilets in the female loos downstairs was a shock, but it was worth the wait just to know that the theatre itself was more intimate. Plus the seats were much more comfortable and a lot more roomy. I personally loved the theatre and would come back again if one of my favourite artists chose to go there.
