Popped in with my wife after a concert at the Bridgewater Hall. Turkish cuisine? Wouldn't normally be my choice but enjoyed the meal immensely. Would recommend the dips . Gorgeous! Very meat based menu ( no surprises there ) but still had enough options to appeal to most people. Decent wine menu - ok, a little over priced I felt but a fair selection. No draught beer tho. Service - prompt without feeling we were being rushed. The staff were excellent.
Front of house guy engaged with the customers well. Late on a fella who was much the worse for drink came in. ( Well it was Saturday night on Deansgate ) A big guy, who wanted a meal and a drink. Now I wouldn't have wanted to argue with him, but he was ushered out in a polite, respectful but firm way. Even to the extent of making sure he got in a taxi.
Well done the staff. Great work all round.

Went into Manchester to see a show at the Opera House and decided to get an early evening dinner, somewhere on Deansgate as near to the theatre as possible. Saw the Topkapi and thought we would give it a go. Lovely restaurant, great staff, and a decent fixed meal menu. Got some drinks and chose our starters and mains. Waiter was excellent and the food was all really, really tasty and nicely presented. There was a nice, relaxed atmosphere to the restaurant and the meal was good value for money. We had to rush a bit, but it was great none the less.

Service was good but the musty smell (not sure where it was coming from) was rather off putting and a great distraction throughout the meal. The food was ok - good portions. Perhaps the normal menu is more promising - but for a Christmas meal out it (with the special festive menu) was somewhat disappointing. No Christmas crackers and didn't feel particularly festive.

We popped into this restaurant on our way back from Christmas markets. It's small and immaculately clean. We asked for a table for two but they said they were fully booked, this was 4:30 in the afternoon, however they were able to squeeze us in. We were not disappointed, the mere starter for two at £13.95 was delicious, with chicken, spicy sausage, prawns wrapped in FILO, Turkish meatballs, little feta cheese pasties and pitta bread with hummus. We also had the meze for our main course which was £28.95. The food was delicious, lamb, chicken dinner meat, shish kebab salad and rice. I wish we had, had time for dessert but we had a train to catch. We will definitely go back, but book a table.
