Excellent modern hotel staff very friendly fast and efficient check-in room great all mod cons high floor views very quiet in corridors self service breakfast area efficient system free wi-fi brilliant .position of the hotel is a bit tricky if following sat nav.doesnt pick up because of all the high buildings need to walk on foot to find it first and get reduced rate parking ticket for the euro parks car park a few blocks away.

Room Tip: City view high floor request

We stayed at this hotel on the 12&13 September 2013. The staff were fantastic, helpful and friendly. We had a great surprise with the hot breakfast. I don't know Manchester city centre so was delighted with location which was right on the edge of the Northern Quarter, full of we coffee shops, bar and restaurants. Had a great time and will be back soon.

Stayed here for a friends birthday, we arrived just after 2pm the reception area is very small and was full of hen & stag parties.....I was thinking oh gosh what have I come to! After a lengthy wait at check in we made our way to our room after asking for a high floor in a quite location we took the lift to the 8th floor only to find our room next to the lift! After a slight panic we decided to stay in the room as I wasn't keen on going back to reception to wait in the queue again.....actually we heard no noise during the night only the room next door using the shower!
The room overall was clean & compact only problem the bathroom felt very dark. The free breakfast was ok, no queuing & plenty of seats - we ate at 9am
Overall not the best hotel in Manchester but the location is perfect & I think that is what you are actually paying for!

I booked the Holiday Inn in the city center of Manchester following the comments in the TripAdvisor community and I should say it is the absolutly perfect place to be. The service is very friendly and fast, the room is nice and quiet and the breakfast offers are really adapted to different tastes. Also, with the advance-saver booking, the room price is absolutely acceptable. Nothing to add! Simply a good choice.

Room Tip: I had a room in the 7th floor which turned out to be a good choice because it is quite calm
