We went there early Saturday evening. Luckily we had booked because the restaurant was full as was the bar area - always a good sign.

Some interesting choices on the menu and the presentation of the food made it look appetising. In fact the meat platter I had was deliscious and very filling. Others in our party had the mini burgers which they thoroughly enjoyed.

I took my 14year old and 10 year children and was concerned the American portions would be too big but the opposite was the case. the Memphis half rack of ribs were good but the beef short rib was just one rib for the price of a good steak and had too much fat on it and failed to fill my ten year old who has a small appetite.

I had the taster meal and it was disappointing. the pulled pork was good but a small amount, the beef bricked was just like slices of Sunday beef and nothing like it is in the states and the hickory pork ribs were all fat and no meat.

we won't be going back.

Lovely food. Great presentation. Staff very helpful. Very clean and contemporary restaurant with a good atmosphere.

Particularly like the shake-your-own cocktails that come on a chopping board with a shaker and all your ingredients in shot glasses,

Now initially the experience was not so good, the associated ad for the restaurant had an opening time of 11am (ideal for early lunch if you have children) but upon arrival was told the opening time was mid day. Not a huge problem as there are lots of coffee places in the area. The gym next door is a little off putting as way too many overly enthusiastic gym goers continually walk past (not the best when digging into southern food!).

But forget all that nonsense, the food is sooo good, the home made corn bread features all over and the perfectly tender pork and brisket HAVE to be tasted. The sides of mac and cheese are seasoned to perfection and the onion ring batter is dope.

Brooklyn beer is available by the bottle and the decor is wicked. This is truly a hidden gem.

Spent a few hours here at the weekend with some family and friends, we didn't eat, just sat in the bar for beer/cocktails/wine and such. Staff brought the drinks over to the table so we didn't have to stand and wait for them at the bar which was a nice touch. Enjoyable time, may even return for food at some point (though I might have to share, the portions look enormous!)
