We planned a visit to Manchester city centre and decided to visit a Greek restaurant for lunch whilst we were there. I discovered Papa G's met our requirements and also found out that they only served fresh ingredients and that the restaurant already had some excellent reviews.
I was a bit apprehensive because the restaurant is in side the Printworks, however the restaurant was very easy to find and once inside you could easily be in any city centre restaurant.
The service as soon as we arrived was excellent. We hadn't booked but got a table straight away. I expect that you may need to book if visiting in the evening, as they were quite busy for a Saturday afternoon.
The venue is modern inside with a hint of Greek.
The menu also explains the history to the family owned restaurant, you'll need to visit to read how and why the family came to the Uk.
The choices on the menu are mainly traditional Greek foods plus there is a wide variety of pasta and pizza dishes. There is a wide selection of wines, even a couple of little known Greek wines to choose from!
We decided to go completely Greek with our meals and choice of wine. The food was excellent, lots of it, fresh ingredients and very god value for money. The wine was good. Our visit to the restaurant brought back memories of our recent holiday to the Greek Islands.
Throughout our visit the service was excellent.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the restaurant, even if you haven't tried Greek food I'm sure you would find something.
And yes of course"you won't be disappointed ".
