“Delicious food, cool atmosphere and funky decor”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

Went here for breakfast and had the standard sized one. They allowed us to swap our black pudding for mushrooms. Result! The cafe was really busy but our food arrived fairly quickly. The quality of the food was excellent. The sausage was outstanding. Everything was cooked perfectly and it was piping hot. We really enjoyed our breakfast and will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu. Fab food and our tea and coffee were served in big mugs, lovely.

“Excellent brekkie choice”
Reviewed September 6, 2013 via mobile

Went here for a breakfast before heading to the cricket at old trafford.

I sampled the full english which was great value at £5.60 including a brew and consisted of excellent quality products, especially the bacon and sausage.

My mates all enjoyed it too! Only minor downside was that it was rather warm, but it was a warm day in general. Give this place a try!!

“nice food - strange coffee”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

The specials board was almost impossible to read so we ordered from the regular menu instead - the food was nice but the coffee I ordered tasted like it had salt in it - infact I had to check that the sugar dispenser on the table did actually contain only sugar ( which it did) so I'm not sure what was wrong there, not so impressed with the mugs they were served in either. The lady who served me was not very friendly and the place looked like it could have done with a good sweep.
Maybe we were just unlucky that day as the place seemed popular.

“Great British Brekkie”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

The tourists really should be flocking to this place, as this is a great example of a true British cafe and part of our culture for decades. In fact, apart from some contemporary, cool and fun updates to the decor (on the walls inside and out), the seating layout, laid back relaxed atmosphere, and breakfasts don't seem to have changed at all, which is excellent! These places have been hangouts for the young, hip (and in the know) since the rock 'n' roll scene of the fifties and every decade since.

Located on the corner of Hilton Street and Stevenson Square, this is a very good place to have a Great British Brekkie, English/Irish or Veggie style. You can sit back and chill checking out life going by whilst tucking into your full breakfast which comes with two slices of toast and a mug of tea, all for the princely sum of £5.60! The place is spotless, comfortable, the staff friendly, and the breakfast is cooked to perfection.

You can walk to several far more pretentious and somewhat contrived places within minutes of the Koffee Pot and pay more then twice as much, for basically the same breakfast which has cost no more to produce than here. A nice mixed crowd in here today, a good brekkie, very relaxed atmosphere and enjoyable being in a truly local city centre cafe watching people come and go. I'll most certainly be returning. Recommended!
