Years ago was a member of many committees which met there. Was always in awe of the architecture. You can feel the grandiose past of the wealthy, and the down to earth councillors of today. Fantastic, even more so when a massive Santa Clause Climbs the exterior at Christmas and when the lights are switched on.

I have toured here, attended banquets and functions here, and regularly just pop in for a coffee.

The architecture is simply stunning, one of the finest examples of it's type in the UK. I just wish more of it was open to the general public to view. The main Great Hall is gorgous, exterior is grand and imposing yet beautiful at the same time. One of my favourite views is looking up to the ceiling of a winding stairwell - it's just lush.

It's one of Manchester's greatest assets

Very beautiful old building although the clock tower seemed a little large for the actual building, were visiting Manchester for the first time and came across the town hall as it was recommended by the hotel receptionist as i commented i liked the architecture of the buildings in manchester
