Partner and I had vegetarian platter to share. It should have been called stodge and salt platter to share. The bread is more like a bun and the rest is just swimming in fat. Not good, we both had belly cramps afterward and we only ate a little.
On the plus side the bar is lovely and the drinks are good

“Beer and atmosphere”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

First popped into the Molly House a couple of weeks ago as it seemed to be the only place in the village not jam packed. Don't get me wrong it is often quite full !

It was a hidden gem and has now become the one place in the village I must visit on a night out.

It's the beer. They have some fantastic craft beers as well as the usual ones. The prices are not the cheapest but as I don't go out to get drunk, I prefer the nicer beer but fewer of them.

I haven't tried the food yet.

the staff are friendly and if you're not sure of what beer you'd like they will let you sample a few of them.

The general atmosphere is pretty mixed both gay and straight, and is mostly the bar where people congregate before going on elsewhere later in the evening. That said there are still quite a few people in there late on.

The kitchen isn't open all night.

One big advantage is the music isn't too loud so you are able to talk with friends and on the first floor for those who smoke there is a balcony outside.

“Good atmosphere”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

Molly house is a small hidden gem in Manchester, The bar has a very small kitchen, We went when it was very busy and they had a special menu on. We order a mixture of tapus food and was surprised at how quickly it was served to us. The tapus food was full of flavor, The atmosphere was buzzing and the staff seemed to be enjoying there job and where very welcoming. I look forward to going back again.

“Good atmosphere and place for a drink”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Went for a quick drink whilst waiting for a table at the The Richmond Tea Rooms. Nice pub with good real ales etc. Went on the first floor outdoor terrace, small but very nice. While we were there a photographer was taking photos of the bar food which looks graet, so amybe we will return for food!

“Great value.”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

Went here last night on a Living Social deal. We have done many deals before, and I have to say that the deal with Molly House was definitely the best value deal we have done. We got 5 tapas and a cocktail. We paid extra and ordered a bread basket, and considered ordering more dishes, thinking that the dishes would be quite small. Thank goodness we didn't as the dishes were huge, and we were both stuffed! Food was fab, and cocktail was also very nice. A lovely quaint place, with great friendly service. We will definitely be returning.
