Went for a quick drink whilst waiting for a table at the The Richmond Tea Rooms. Nice pub with good real ales etc. Went on the first floor outdoor terrace, small but very nice. While we were there a photographer was taking photos of the bar food which looks graet, so amybe we will return for food!

Went here last night on a Living Social deal. We have done many deals before, and I have to say that the deal with Molly House was definitely the best value deal we have done. We got 5 tapas and a cocktail. We paid extra and ordered a bread basket, and considered ordering more dishes, thinking that the dishes would be quite small. Thank goodness we didn't as the dishes were huge, and we were both stuffed! Food was fab, and cocktail was also very nice. A lovely quaint place, with great friendly service. We will definitely be returning.

Found this place through reviews on tripadvisor and so glad I did. The food is amazing the atmosphere is cosy and the prices are fantastic. Went with a friend before going to the theatre and made the most of the special tapas and wine offer. BEST tapas ever and definitely going back soon.

My wife and I shared a Vegetarian Tapas Platter for £10.90. Delicious and just the right amount for a light lunch. A fine selection of real ales too (very important). Service was prompt and friendly. The upstairs room and balcony was not opening until 5pm so missed the opportunity to enjoy the view. The bar area has about 5 large tables and a fascinating book shelf you can browse. Highly recommend this place in a quirky part of the so called "Gay Village" near Canal Street.

Decided to try The Molly House after planning a "Tapas Crawl" round Manchester after seeing the positive reviews here on TA.
Tucked away on a back alley off Canal Street The Molly House is a small downstairs pub/eaterie promoted as a Spanish "Tapas" styled bar.
The place itself is quaint and has a nice vibe. I wouldn't really call it a Spanish bar as we asked for the wine list and there are only a couple of Spanish wines on offer I expected to see a few more than that so the choice is very limited and our chosen wine was just OK .
Food - As we were on a crawl we chose two dishes here. Tapas menu is nothing really exciting and just your run of the mill stuff. We choose the Albondigas and the Fried Calamaris. Good portion sizes and both freshly cooked to order in the small kitchen at the side of the bar. Nothing spectacular but both tasted Ok.
Glad we tried it but, I think that it was a bit short of the mark to be a great Tapas place and needs a little more flair and imagination.
