so much to see! spent 5 hours looking round, learning about everything from old local industries, to walking through a sewer, to BABY (first PC), the advent of electricity in the home, to watching a video clip of a young Bob Dylan demonstraing cookery to a crowd...!

We visited MOSI on Sunday 17th February.

We arrived in the manned secure museum car park at 9.40 am and paid £5 to park all day, which I consider reasonable. I can imagine it filling up quickly.

The museum is large and is split between 5 buildings which are very close to one another.

We stayed from 10 am till it closed at 5 pm and never was there a dull moment.

The steam train is a must as is a walk through the Victorian sewer. There is plenty to see, watch and do for all ages.

Well worth a visit.

This is a fantastic museum well worth a visit the is so much to see and do, the are planes, the are trains including a replica of Stevenson's Rocket which if you are lucky will be running on the day you visit, so just go and enjoy a brilliant place as you can easily spend a day there.

Visited the museum on a Sunday in January. Steam train not running but knew that anyway, otherwise a great way to way to spend the day. Something for everyone from 2 to 100.
My only disappointment was a display celebrating gay and lesbian movement. This is NOT the place for such a display and as visitors are not fore warned could prompt a lot of questions from young children. I have no objection to the subject but not here! This is the reason for losing the fifth spot.
Otherwise well worth a visit and parking is fair.
