“Great Location”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

We stayed here the night before an early flight and the location is great. The check in was very swift and we were asked by the very pleasant man on reception where we would like a room we chose a room with a runway view. We got a runway view but the room was very tired, the carpet threadbare in places and the very large bed was placed diagonaly in a corner with no headboard very strange,Apart from that the room was very clean and quiet. We paid £65 for the night and on that basis I would definately stay again >Would I have paid £120 for the room no.

When travelling to the USA, I stay over night at the Manchester airport Radisson Blu hotel, in the past I have been pleased with the stay and the facilities.
'check in' at reception (I arrived at 14:30) was 'endless' with a wait of 25 minutes to be allocated a room.

Room 565 was found to be tired, much in need of 'makeover', the carpet was badly stained.

Breakfast is expensive £17 on the day, or £14 (non refundable) if you purchase in advance. The breakfast is buffet service, sadly the dinner plates were not heated, allowing ones bacon to cool very rapidly. Scrambled eggs (something that I have never appreciated) are available from buffet, fried eggs can be requested and prepared for you. If you have already loaded your plate with bacon, tomatoes, etc, you will have finished those before the fried eggs arrive.

The most glaring failure from my companions point of view, was the inability to provide hot drinking chocolate. All in all you get a better cooked breakfast from the Premier Inn chain of hotels.

In summary, it is handy for terminal 2 and early departing flights.

Very sorry for the poor service you encountered during your recent stay. I would have felt the same had it happened to me. I can promise I shall look into each comment and ensure appropriate action is taken to prevent them for re-occuring.

We stayed here as we had an early flight the next morning and would have got stuck in rush hour traffic.
We picked this hotel for the walking distance to the terminal! You cant get much closer unless you sleep in the airport!!
The rooms are amazing and beautiful.
They are spotlessly clean with 2 3/4 beds and are super comfy! With a HUGEE window overlooking the airport were you can see aeroplanes take off and parking up.
Bathrooms are spotless with underfloor heating. A shower over the bath with a lovely deep bath and complimentary toiletries.
I work in a hotel so I can be picky.
The receptionists are lovely and efficient with no fuss.

We didn't try the menu as we had eaten before arriving.
There is so much choice for breakfast, something for everyone!
I had abit of everything so I was very full for my flight!!

Will definitely stay again!!

Stayed the night before a long flight, checked in really easy and decided to upgrade to the club room, so glad we did, it was completely out of this world, a huge comfy bed, large tv with free movies and a fantastic view of the runway and terminals. The room was on the top floor (floor 9) with floor to ceilings windows, what an amazing room. there were robes and slippers and the bathroom was fabulous with under floor heating and a walk in shower which was fab.

We also had use of the exec lounge with wine, beers and spirits, also champagne and canapés, again with a fantastic view over the airport.

We left our car at the hotel and there was no problems at all, will defo do again as it was so quick and easy and the staff were incredibly helpful and professional. The breakfast was first class too.

Will definitely stay here again, just a lovely start to your holiday.

Room Tip: Defo pay the extra for a club room - so worth it

We arrived at the airport by train so being able to walk from the station to the hotel via the skywalk was great. It took about 5 minutes and was well signposted. Check in was smooth and efficient. The room was a good size with views of the apron and runway. Good bathroom, with shower over bath. Complimentary toiletries.

Nice bar area and a revamped restaurant with a reasonable menu - good value for money for a premium airport hotel. Sample menu available on the website.

For supper, we shared a charcuterie platter, followed by crab salad, lobster and then a cheese board - all well presented and delicious. Having stayed here before, whilst the room we had was still the same, the bar area, restaurant and food was much better.

Having stayed at the hotel a few times in the past we had decided to try some of the other airport hotels but we're glad we came back. I think we'll be using it next time too!

Room Tip: Always worth asking for an airport view room.

On arrival the check in was quick & efficient , staff friendly and helpful. Room was a good size, well maintained and clean. The bar and restaurant was modern and clean, but the menu available was limited. On the whole a good experience and relaxing stop over.

I stayed here for one night in October with my husband and children age 2 & 3. We arrived at the hotel around 9pm and were checked in quickly & efficiently. We had booked a family room and I emailed the hotel in advance to request a newly refurbished room as on previous stays the rooms were a bit disappointing and didn't match the rest of the impressive hotel. We were given 2 interconnecting business class rooms on the 8th floor and they were lovely - extremely modern and comfortable with large flat screen TV's on the wall and fantastic bathrooms with a bath and separate walk in rain shower - no yucky over bath shower with physco-style shower curtain ! We ordered room service and it arrived quickly and was tasty and the wine was nicely chilled - much needed after a flight with 2 toddlers ! After a good nights sleep we had breakfast in the restaurant the following morning and it was lovely, not too busy and plenty of cosy booths to choose from and a good selection of lattes, espresso etc served piping hot at your table. We had a lovely stay and look forward to coming back in may !
