Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting family. Twin room with comfy beds. Bathroom a little small for 2 peoples things. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice. The only downside was the food we had in the bar one evening. One of the worst chicken caesar salads I have ever had. The inclusion of tomato = strange. No parmesan, croutons replaced with breadsticks and a lump of dry chicken does not a salad make !
Nice late check-out.
No sign of a nice £49 deal when we stayed - £198 for 2 nights. Nor any mention of 'smoking rooms' that other reviewers mention - would have saved me standing outside in -6C - (yeah, I know - my choice to smoke !!)

Great location for walking into manchester, rooms are fine, decent furniture, if you're going to grumble about uneven paint then go elsewhere and pay twice the price. Everywhere nice and clean, staff on reception very polite, couldnt fault it really until the morning after our nights stay.

Woken at 9.30 by the cleaner - we were only staying 1 night, they knew we would be out by 12, this is extremely annoying when youve spent half the night awake from the boyfriends snoring - i know theres a do not disturb sign but didnt think it would be necessary at 9 in the morning for a 1 night stay!

Breakfast could only be described as shambolic planning / management. Don't get me wrong the food was tasty and hot but the faff of getting it was ridiculous! We went down at 10.30 on a saturday, i ate my full english breakfast with no knife (they were like gold dust), my boyfriend queued for 10minutes for a plate (piles of food were brought out but nothing to put it on), i fancied some toast but surprise surprise no bread and they provide a tiny bowl of ketchup for a restaurant that holds about 60ppl! Stop being so bleedimg stingy and either get sachets or invest in some mini bottles for the tables!

However we did only pay £40 for a friday night b&b in manchester so for that price its decent value, but if i had paid anywhere near the £100 its meant to be i would have been rather disappointed.

With a bit of simple better management this would have got a 4/5 star rating.

A very comfortable stay here, booked for a double and got a triple so a bit of extra space.

Modern furnishings and clean, good sized bathroom. Recommended for one-night stays or a few days in Manchester.

A short walk to Deansgate / Hilton Hotel where the majority of shops / bars are located, but very close to the Bridgewater hall if you're staying over after a concert.

Centrally situated hotel. I was initially given a smoking room, but went back to reception and they instantly changed it. The same thing happened to a woman who checked in just before me, which makes me wonder why they don't ask people if they want a smoking room before allocating them.
The non smoking room I ended up in was pleasant and clean. Everything worked, including the heating (I had read some reviews where people complained the room was cold). Didn't have an evening meal at the hotel (was staying there for a work Christmas party), but breakfast was tasty and with plenty of variety.

Room Tip: If you don't want a trip back to reception, ask for a non smoking room when you check in.

Stayed at this hotel for a Works Xmas party. Staff very friendly, Hotel and rooms very clean & pleasant. It's just a shame the breakfast wasn't very hot, (although there was plenty of choice) I didnt know anything about the discount in the car park across the road that has been mentioned in a previous review. Maybe the staff could've mentioned it? Would reccomend a stay here though!

Hotel is well situated, across the street from the Bridgewater hall and Manchester Central convention centre. About a 15 minute walk into the centre of Manchester, although I found that the free shuttle bus number 2 stops around the corner and drops you outside the Arndale Centre. Got a very good mid week deal, £98 for 2 nights which included breakfast. This made up somewhat for the size of the room, which was a double, but luckily I was on my own as with 2 people it would have been a very tight fit. Also as other reviews have said the room was very dark and I had to have the main light and the 2 bed side lights on even during day light to read. Staff were friendly especially the breakfast staff, and breakfast had good cooked choices as well as cereal, toast etc. I think if you paid the normal rate, which on the Jurys website is around £160 for 2 nights without breakfast then you would agree with me that based on the room alone you would not have got value for money.
