Owner description: We're an award-winning producing Theatre in the centre of Manchester. As well as classics from William Shakespeare, Tennessee Williams, Oscar Wilde, Noel Coward, and Anton Chekhov, we're also one of the country's leading theatres for new writing, with over 125 premieres in the theatre history! The unique design means that none of the 760 seats are more than nine metres from the circular stage, with seats placed all around the auditorium, giving views from all angles. The Great Hall surrounds the Theatre, and this houses The Round restaurant, Bar Exchange, the Craft Shop and exhibitions, the Education Lounge and workshops, the Information Point, the Mezzanine Gallery exhibitions, as well as Friday evenings' FREE entertainment SPECIAL FX.And we're open on a Sunday too! With brunch served in our Great Hall cafe and free entertainment during the day.

when on Saturday to see the Accrington Pals Play. didnt expect the theatre to be a pre-fab type structure within a building. Was most wierd. I was expecting a proper laid out type theatre. however, made the play more intimate and visible and thoroughly enjoyed it

if you like to be close up to the action you need to go here.
I love to ensure I get banquette tickets which mean you are seated at stage level and you feel you are emerssed in the performance. these tickets are usually only £10 but you can only get them on the day you wish to see the play.

Rmemeber people such as John Thaw, Pete Posthewaite and Brenda Blethan have all performed here with many other names.

“Another look around an unsuspectingly old venue.”

First saw a play here with secondary school, Parrswood High, back in the day, the early 80's is all I'm saying! Cannot remember which play exactly but soaked up the experience as a teen. Nothing has changed over all these years and it looks newly built and innovative, which it is still.

“Love this place!”

I go as often as I can _____ I love this theatre. I always take visitors in for a look around this glorious building if not to see a production. Love the outside too!
