Went to see u2 and had fairly good seats looking down on the stage. Security was ok we got in very quickly with little fuss through airport style scanners. There are plenty of places to park and we chose a secure car park for only £7 just yards away. Inside there are lots of places to eat and drink and merchandise outlets also. The arena looks a bit dated and could do to be cleaned up abit.

We recently went to the Arena to see ELO.
It’s big and spacious with decent acoustics.
Security is tight outside with nothing bigger than a small rucksack allowed in and everyone is searched outside.
This venue probably has more people watching events than any other concert venue in the world and, as you’d expect, it is very well managed.

This was my first visit to an event at the MEN. The location, accessibility to transport links, and security to enter the arena (scanners used like at airports) were all excellent. The arena itself is ideally shaped for a boxing event and the facilities and layout were all very good. We sat in the lower tier seats in section 117 and our view was very good and I wouldn't hesitate to book seats there again.
The only grumble I have is that due to large numbers of people attending tje event drinking to excess, behaviour inside the event was disgusting. I think thete needs to be more security staff around the arena in the seated areas and bars and toilets etc. There is not one pub in the UK that would allow people to behave like some people behaved at the event but it seems that due to there npt being enough security/doormen type staff there, that tje drunk hooligans think they can get away with it. My husband went to use tje toilet while we were there but turned around after witnessing men urinating in tje sinks. ...animals!
We enjoyed the event but think MEN need to do more to control the animals who attend events like the boxing.

As stated in the title. Security is a joke. We was sat in 206, and there were loads of people openly smoking !!! An absolute disgrace! Not a showsec steward on site at all. Would never visit again. Over priced drinks, not enough bars either so it's 45minute to an hour to grab a drink. Never again.

Came here for the Bellew v Usyk fight and we were really impressed by the security before entering the arena. Had my small clutch bag rifled through by hand, then it went through a scanner, then we had to walk through the body metal detectors. Some people were complaining but unfortunately these checks are necessary in this day and age. We did arrive quite soon after doors opening, and I'd imagine it will be carnage as more people arrive.

By the way, it's cheaper for a pint in Wembley Stadium!

Booked 2 nights here for WWE Raw and Smackdown. Accessible seating for my husband's needs, which did include a free carer ticket for me. Block 105, not very near toilets. On second night, seats were changed when we arrived to normal seating, which was not appropriate. In the end, we were put back in accessible seating. Don't know why we were moved, like a lot of others were. No explanation to this. Also, due to Manchester bombing, security was supposed to be stepped up. There is no metal screening equipment outside the entrance of the arena. Just walked straight into the foyer. On the second evening, no one even scanned us for metal objects, just went straight in. Not good after what happened!!

Went to see U2 here in October 2018. As expected, security was VERY rigorous. But staff were extremely helpful and polite during the process. Fans queued up were also very understanding so no real issues.

Bars and food outlets were packed out but well manned, so the queues were surprisingly quick.

Seats, sound and overall concert experience was great.

Leaving the show was also quite easy. The staff have a very well oiled machine and it ran like clockwork.

Good venue, easily accessible via Victoria station. Prices are ridiculous so be warned! Almost £5 for a small bottle of beer or alcopop. Almost £7 for a glass of prosecco. I didn't buy any food but that was also expensive. The venue was well staffed and the searches slow down entry but be patient and get there early. My tip would be to not take any handbags or anything like that as everything gets searched thoroughly and as previously mentioned, slows down the queues. If you're not from Manchester, closest tram stops are Victoria and exchange square. Trains also go into Victoria or nearby Piccadilly

We went to see U2 who were brilliant, the arena itself was good but I could not believe the security. After queuing to get in we sort of had airport style checks which we were then told no you dont need to do that. I bleeped and was told to stand there to be patted down, only to find no body to do it. The toilets were leaking too so only one open! so not my favourite venue but U2 were brilliant!!!

Literally outside manchester victoria metro station on the right. Simple train ride on the metro train directly from manchester airport to the door (took 1 hour).
Heavy security, all very well mannered and polite.
Seat we had were block 108 J
You can book any seats anywhere in tiers here and have great view of stage with perfect view.
